Electrical and Mechanical Craft Apprentices

At our Cement Works in Hope, Derbyshire, we are seeking an Electrical Craft Apprentice and a Mechanical Craft Apprentice, to start with us in early September 2017. You will attend a suitable 4-year course which will lead to an Advanced Apprenticeship.
Year 1 of the craft apprenticeship is full time in college, learning the basic skills of the role. This covers core areas across electrical and mechanical engineering. Years 2-4 are day release at college, with the remaining time in the work place, where you will work alongside experienced colleagues putting your craft skills into practice, whilst gathering evidence for the NVQ3 log books. Year 3 will be the start of the HNC, which completes in Year 4.
Hope Cement Works' Apprenticeship scheme is accredited to 'The Institute of Mechanical Engineers' and 'The Institute of Engineering & Technology'. Successful competition of this scheme will enable you to apply for the professional status of EngTech.

You must also have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above (or level 5 or above on the new grading scheme) including Maths, English and Science.
