Senior Quantity Surveyor - Residential Development

I am working with a leading national house builder who are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in Buckinghamshire. Established for over 100 years, the company has grown until now where they currently directly employ over 1000 staff nationally and had a turnover of almost c£1bn last year. They take great pride in quality family homes and have won a great number of industry awards. Based in their well-appointed office, they are looking for someone to take lead commercial responsibility over volume housing projects (circa 100+ units). Duties will include risk analysis, cost control, feasibility studies, valuations, preparing plans, preparing bills of quantities, preparing and submitting final accounts. You will also be required to travel at least once a week to your own project in either Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire or Hertfordshire. The right candidate will be a passionate commercial professional who is methodical, organised and highly motivated. You will be a good communicator, have a keen eye for detail and driven to succeed. While candidates qualified by experience will be considered, it would be highly advantageous to hold a formal qualification in Quantity Surveyor. Also, while a track record in a residential construction background is preferred, those from other sectors will also be considered. In return, you can expect a salary of up to £65,000 per annum with a generous car/travel allowance, 23 days holiday, a contributory pension and excellent bonus potential.
