Position: Bid Manager, Southampton
Salary: £60-£70k + car/car allowance + package
Job Summary: My client is seeking a Bid Manager to add to their existing pre-construction team structure due to significant growth and demand. You will be working alongside a Senior Bid Manager and reporting into a Pre-Construction Director. You will either be an experienced Bid Manager working for a recognised main contractor or you may have worked in a delivery role such as Project Manager who has had experienced of tendering and pre-construction.

Key Responsibilities
1. Check and acknowledge tender documents and amendments.
2. Ensure that details are entered on RIMS.
3. Arrange tender launch meeting.
4. Establish and request all necessary resources are provided to the tender team.
5. Produce a Bid Strategy and brief tender team.
6. Ensure correct selection of subcontractors and suppliers for key packages.
7. Organise distribution of tender documents/amendments for appropriate parties.
8. Arrange tender submission document production and checking.
9. Ensure appropriate member of bid team answer queries from subcontractors/suppliers.
10. Arrange site visit.
11. Ensure Risk analysis and Risk Register are produced.
12. Request further information from Client/Design Team and arrange meeting if required.
13. Internal meetings to review design alternatives/value management.
14. Ensure pricing reflects the proposed methodology.
15. Agree proposed Prelims.
16. Liaise with builders' conference.
17. Attend Adjudication Meeting.
18. Co-ordinate post tender negotiations with Client.
20. Maintain/pursue business development opportunities.
21. Ensure that final tender information is entered on RIMS.
22. Attend hand-over meeting and brief team on tender bid.
23. Organise and lead Design Team Meetings, if D & B (if no Design Manager involved).
24. Undertake project debrief, eliciting feedback from sites, to improve construction.
25. Manage second stage.
