Job Description

Our client is an established, independent specialist in office design and refurbishment, project management, fit-out and furniture supply. They have a vast amount of experience and an impressive portfolio of projects. They offer a variety of services including space planning, design and building and Internal Fit Out. They predominantly cover the South East but have taken on projects for clients across the UK. They are currently in the market for a Contract Manager to manage their expanding portfolio of projects. As a key member of the team you are the one that makes sure that all projects are completed on time and within budget. As a Contracts Manager - Commercial Fit Out you are the central pivot between the company and the clients & your job is to liaise with the Project & Site Managers, the suppliers and the clients so you must be able to communicate with all levels from Directors to sub-contractors. The Role * The Contracts Manager has overall responsibility for the projects on site, and the allocation of work involved in these projects. * Managing and working closely with the Pre Contracts and Projects team, ensure that projects are delivered on time, in budget and adhere to legal compliance. * The Contracts Manager should manage these responsibilities with a preventative, not reactive approach. * Manage Projects Managers and Site Managers effectively * Forecast the workload for Pre Contracts Manager and Contracts Managers. * Oversee the financial aspects of each project. * Ensure that the Health & Safety delivery mechanism for each project is being adhered to. * Accompany the Sales team to new business presentations. * Oversee the quality aspects of each project. * Visit sites on planned and spot check occasions. The Candidate * Project/Contract Management background. * Good commercial understanding * Knowledge of a wide range of Building and Construction methods * Experience as a Contracts Manager - Commercial Fit Out * Solid construction experience. * Design and Build or Traditional Fit Out background * Excellent people manager. * Experience of managing multiple tasks. * Ability to speak in a credible manner. * Excellent presentation skills. * Gravitas. * Ability to deal with staff and clients on all levels. * Must be able to drives. * Lives within commutable distance to Central London * Experience of working on multi million pound projects If you are looking for a new challenge and the chance to progress in one of the UK's leading Independent Interior contract please send your CV in for consideration
