Setting Out Engineer Competitive Hourly Rates on Offer Newcastle Upon Tyne Excellent Freelance Opportunity Overview Following a recent increase in work, my client is looking to recruit a setting out engineer to join one of their flagship projects in Newcastle Upon Tyne for approximately 8 months. The Client The client is a leading main construction contractor who have an excellent reputation and position in the market place across the UK. Job Role To oversee all of the setting out on site (levels/gridlines/drainage/foundations) using the equipment provided and to liaise with the project team, sub-contractors and client when required. You must also hold a valid SMSTS ticket and have experience of managing sub-contractors and working as part of a management team on site. About the Candidate You must possess the following skills: • Setting out and supervising labour on site • Previous experience in a similar role • Foundations • Earth works • Foundations • Drainage • Retaining walls • Use of Total Stations • Ability to explain design ideas and plans clearly and concisely • Confident in making decisions • Excellent communicator both written and verbal • Ability to work within budgets and to tight deadlines • Ability to work within a team Contact Information If you are interested in the above vacancy please call Jon Graham.
