Project Manager

Project Manager to manage engineering projects from order to delivery and ensure excellent client service and positive commercial outcomes whilst maintaining safe working practices. Responsibilities • Client liaison - expanding existing relationships with client base • Ensuring works are completed in line with the health and safety policy • Managing engineers and sub-contractors • Costing variations to projects • Manage day-to-day project operations • Conducting internal project reviews • Strong Mechanical Project Management background • Consistent experience of work with reputable contractors • Proven success on high-level projects • Ability to manage lesser-experienced Project Managers • Liaising with Account Managers to ensure phase completion before deadline. • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects. • Review deliverables prepared by the project team prior to issuing. • Effectively apply company project management procedures. Identify, evaluate and manage the Company’s exposure to project risks. • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. • Manage the project budget. Analyse project revenue, margins and profitability, including cost-to-completion projections. • Determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, along with the monitoring of receivables for projects. • Review and negotiate project contracts/specifications/terms and conditions. • Identify potential variations to contracts and prepare/submit/negotiate claims for variation orders. • Conduct effective performance appraisals of team members • Help the team execute career development plans. Essential • Educated to degree or equivalent level in Mechanical Engineering, or similar. • Extensive experience in both product design and project management that has been gained in the oil and gas industry. • Task driven with first class project management skills - driven to achieve project schedules and budgets • Computer literate, proficient with ERP systems, Microsoft Project, MS Office packages, CAD systems. • Experienced in international business and prepared to travel
