Job Description

M&E Engineer / Surveyor required for a permanent position in Tidworth! You will determine the internal and external condition of buildings and their fabric identifying and analysing defects, including proposals for repair. Preparing scopes of works, to support change, lifecycle planning and the Asset Management Plan. Carry out feasibility studies. Advising on the health and safety aspects of buildings. Advising on energy use and conservation in a range of buildings and sites, aiming to minimise the environmental impact and reduce the carbon footprint Other duties will include but are not limited to: * Ensure that all areas of areas of personal responsibility adopt and utilise their policies and procedures * Health and Safety * Reporting of all Health and Safety defects, near misses, dangerous occurrences and spillages to the Helpdesk * Inspect all Mechanical and Electrical assets and prepare reports and surveys in preparation for the annual lifecycle and AMP * Scoping of Work from survey data to inform Change and Lifecycle Projects * Supporting the Estimator. * Review of O&M documentation and Completion Certificates. * Technical review and assessment of works. * Witness the testing and commissioning of electrical, mechanical, HVAC and other systems for Lifecycle/Change Projects. * Provide written reports on any testing, commissioning and training deficiencies. * Prepare assets and documentation * Working with detailed diagrams, plans and drawings. * Liaising closely with other professionals and attending technical meetings. Ensuring that the design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements. * Carry out such duties as may be reasonably required from time to time by the Line Manager or other Senior Managers Essential requirements (please ensure these are clear on CV application): * Educated to a minimum City & Guilds/ONC level or equivalent in a Mechanical / Electrical discipline and preferably with a professional membership e.g. CIBSE * Provides Surveying capabilities to support change, the Lifecycle plan and AMP * Pricing of Scope of Works to support Change, Lifecycle planning and the AMP. Review of contractors' quotes, tender returns and work estimates to substantiate or challenge value for money * Undertake analysis of survey information and other related estates data to provide succinct scope of works to support change, the Lifecycle plan and AMP * Support commissioning activities and provide technical support and guidance where required * To provide strategic and operational management of the estate by compiling, updating, monitoring and controlling data to inform and support service delivery, Lifecycle planning the AMP and Change Commits to putting customers first and delivers high quality service that meets or exceeds expectations. * Health & Safety * Client management skills You must hold a full Driving Licence and must be able to undergo successful Security Clearance Apply now! --- Fusion People are committed to promoting equal opportunities to people regardless of age, gender, religion, belief, race, sexuality or disability.
