Street Lighting Operatives & Estimators
Our client is a well-established provider of signage and street lighting, with contracts with major clients. We are currently recruiting for experienced street lighting operatives and estimators. If you have experience in this field, at any level, please send your CV for consideration.
Installation Operative Responsibilities
We are looking for hard-working, motivated individuals to assist with the installation of street lighting columns, signs and bollards; with the potential of undertaking electrical connections / testing and commissioning of private cabling systems.
- Full valid UK driving licence, to include Class C1 (up to 7.5 tonnes)
- City & Guilds 17th edition inspection testing qualification
- Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card would be preferred however not essential
- IPAF card would be preferred however not essential
- Manual Handling, First Aid and G39 accreditations would be preferred
- Team player
- Knowledge of Digital TACO cards and vehicle terminals
- Pro-active hands on approach
- Used to manual work in outdoor environment
In addition to the above, the following accreditations would provide a distinct advantage:
- HGV (up to 18 tonnes) licence would be preferred but not essential
- 360 excavator
- Slinger/Signaller
- HIAB (all to CPCS)
- Street Works Qualification.
Estimator Responsibilities
The role will involve providing detailed estimates for street lighting and signage tenders within the civil engineering sector of the business.
Specifically the preferred candidate will be expected to undertake detailed 'take offs' from working drawings, apply prices to Bills of Quantities and produce a detailed cost analysis on each tendered project.

Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience in estimating / project management
Knowledge of sub contracts.
An excellent communicator.
Strong numerical skills.
Good organisational skills.
Computer literate.
A full UK Driving License
