Quality Assurance Manager Circa £32,000 p/a with potential annual bonus and package My Client is an established Regional Contractor specialising in fast-track fit-out and refurbishments in the Commercial and Student Accommodation sectors. Due to continued success, they are looking to develop their Operations Team in Coventry with an experienced QA Manager. Quality Assurance Manager duties and responsibilities will include: Development Process Use survey instruments, metering devices, tape measures, and test equipment, to perform inspections. Review and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications, and construction methods to ensure compliance to statutory requirements and safety regulations. • Inspect and monitor construction sites to ensure adherence to safety standards, building codes, specifications and general quality of workmanship. Measure dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures and fixtures to ensure compliance to building plans and codes. Monitor contractors and feedback on work completed. Keep records of all the tests that have been carried out. Record data to analyse your results and report your findings. Ensuring contractors have relevant documentation and cards. Operation Process Ensure there is communication between developments and operations during the handover process. Inspect buildings, wiring, plumbing, electrical circuits, heating and drainage systems, during and after construction for structural integrity, general safety and conformance to specifications and codes. Maintain daily logs and supplement inspection records with photographs. Promote workplace safety and ensure safety practices are followed. Arranging and overseeing the handover of new sites from the construction team to the operations team. Management Process Assist with preparation of Planned/Preventative Maintenance and Improvement Plans to ensure minimal entry into guest`s rooms. Spot check on maintenance assistant`s tasks and completion of PMP during your monthly site visit. Recommend the purchase of goods, equipment and training opportunities for maintenance staff and/or Contractors. Ensuring standards in regards to surface repairs utilising the visibility portal. Developing processes for Contractors and visitors including maintenance processes – i.e. using and understanding the maintenance system (SIMS) Contractors - overseeing them whilst on site including; ensuring quality of standards and workmanship. Overseeing, snagging, and approving work such as – painting, electric`s, and plumbing. Overall, identifying and reporting issues/concerns to the Maintenance Manager regarding work completed by Maintenance Assistants and Contractors across all sites. To comply with company policies and procedures. To carry out any other duties that may be required from you from time to time to meet the needs of the business. Individual Requirements Successful candidates will possess valid CSCS, First Aid and SMSTS accreditation, twinned with +5 years` experience delivering Commercial or Student Accommodation fit-out projects. Additionally, candidates will be possess a proactive approach and a close attention for detail. Working in a fast-paced environment candidates will be able to illustrate a logical/methodical approach to your work and you must be accurate when taking measurements and recording figures. Good communication skills are important to motivate others to improve the quality of their work, as well as to explain your findings clearly.
