Job Description
I am looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work for a Maintenance Contractor on a variety of refurbishment projects based in South Wales.
Working alongside a Senior Surveyor, the Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be required to:
- Produce accurate information for Contribution Forecasts and Monthly Cost Value Reports
- Efficiently report on Site Progress and ensure correct procedure are implemented for extension of Time applications and recovery of Loss and expense
- Maximise profitability and cash benefit for the Company
- Ensure Contract Valuations are prepared in accordance with current ruling Company Policy
- Control and administer sub-Contract account
- Re-measure all Site works
- Liaise with Contracts Management on Cost Control and all financial matters relating to the Contract
- Ensure Architects Instructions and Variations are obtained and properly valued
- Progress settlement of Final Accounts
- To protect the Company`s best contractual interests at all times
- Efficiently procure sub contracts
Essential Requirements:
- Quantity Surveying Degree
- Experience of working on social housing maintenance contracts
- Understanding of WHQS
