Estimator

I am working with a leading national house builder who are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their Southern commercial team. Established for over 40 years, the company has grown until now where they currently directly employ over 2000 staff and had a turnover of over c£1bn last year. They take great pride in producing high specification homes and have won major industry awards for a number of years running. Based in their well-appointed office in Hampshire, they are looking for someone to take lead responsibility on land appraisals and costing opportunities. While this will be the primary focus, there will also be times where you would assist the surveying department on estimating standard house build costs. The right candidate will be a passionate commercial professional who is methodical, organised and highly motivated. You will be a good communicator, have a keen eye for detail and driven to succeed in a competitive land market. While candidates qualified by experience will be considered, it would be highly advantageous to hold a formal qualification in Estimating. Also, while a track record in a residential construction background is preferred, those from other sectors will also be considered. In return, you can expect a salary of up to £60,000 per annum with a generous car/travel allowance, 24 days holiday, a contributory pension and excellent bonus potential.
