Job Description

Purpose of Job To provide programme input to the Planning team on all schemes as required. Co-ordinate Primavera P6 programmes produced within the company to ensure uniformity of approach. Liaise with clients to incorporate client requirements into project programmes. Principal Accountabilities The preparation and development of effective project planning schedules and project controls using Primavera P6 and associated planning software The preparation, development and maintenance of effective project reporting tools following established company processes and best practice. Supporting Project Managers and Project Engineers in the delivery of projects to schedule by providing comprehensive information utilising a range of planning and reporting tools and techniques Assist with the recruitment, training and continuing professional development of the Planning Team members Through effective communication assist Team Leaders with managing team performance and take necessary corrective action to ensure commitments made are delivered Develop and maintain client relationships in order to obtain steady growth of planning services supplied directly to external clients Ensure that the quality of the service provided is continuously being developed and improved Any other reasonable duties as required Acting Deputy Team Leader P6 Database Management Review and Audit of Project Programmes Support Planners in addressing any Planning issues Supporting Project Managers and Project Engineers in the delivery of projects to schedule by providing comprehensive information utilising a range of planning and reporting tools and techniques Experience In depth knowledge of Planning Principals Engineering and Project Management processes Contract Procedures In depth knowledge of Primavera P6, including database management Experience in Rail/Transportation or various Construction sectors
