Estimator

An industry leading construction organisation is currently looking for an Estimator to join their growing team of experienced professionals. Based in either North Lanarkshire or Fife, this exciting opportunity has arisen due to continued business growth and an excellent order book and is ideally suited to a driven and ambitious estimator looking for their next career move. Summary of Estimator Role: The key purpose of the Estimator role is to ensure that incoming enquiries into the business are dealt with in a professional, timely manner and are priced accurately in order to maximise the best margin possible for the business. You shall be responsible for calculating all construction costs associated to the project along with producing all commercial and technical documentation required to support the bid as directed by the Line Manager. Key Requirements for Estimator: * Experience in preparing estimates for submission to main contractors for external facades. * Good technical knowledge of glazing systems (e.g. Metal Technology) is required along with a basic understanding of the use of glass and its applications. * Microsoft - Excel, Outlook, Word * Track record of meeting deadlines * Experience of Logikal beneficial but not essential * Experience of AutoCAD beneficial but not essential Key personal attributes for Estimator: * Good communication, presentation and IT skills, * Team player * Good attention to detail attention to detail, * Ability to self-manage and work on your own initiative. * Focused, tenacious, proactive, and committed with high standards and an achievement orientation.
