QS Director

Company Background Our client is a leading, specialist contractor within the resin and coatings sector. Ongoing success has led to the creation of additional dedicated divisions providing decorating, landscaping and fire protection expertise, with a specialist team providing tailored services to the social housing sector. The Opportunity/Role This role will ensure that clients are consistently provided with the best possible services, by providing a simpler, more efficient route whatever the project. As the QS Director, you will be responsible for: * To oversee programme and project management for all projects * Work closely with Construction and Operations Director * Responsible for understanding contract costs * Produce technical specifications * Complete pricing works * Negotiation with clients/potential clients * Creating new client relationships and managing existing clients * Maintaining and developing Total Protections position within the market i.e. BALI * Overseeing the quality of work * Oversee ordering of materials * Keep up to date with Chartered Institute * Ensuring communications between all employees including management * Hold weekly meeting with Construction and Operations Director * Complete site visits as required * To review updated charge out sheet following the QS department input * Assist Site Manager and client with problem solving * Work towards and meet deadlines To be successful in this role, you must have: * CSCS Card - Management * First Aid * Previous management experience is essential * Excellent communication skills * Experience within Landscaping/Construction industry * Computer literate in all Microsoft office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, Project) * Highly organised and professional in approach with a keen eye for detail * Assertive and proactive in thinking and approach * Robust, committed and commercially minded * Flexible and able to adapt to the needs of continuously shifting goals * Excellent interpersonal skills with all levels both internally and externally Due to the high response, if you have not been contacted within 7 days, please assume that your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion.
