Quantity Surveyor– Islington Full Time Permanent £45k- £50k Salary Car Allowance Quantity Surveyor Job –Islington Citi Recruit–Quantity Surveyor Full time – Permanent – Quantity Surveyor Citi Recruit is working in partnership with one of the country’s largest Maintenance Contractors to identify an experienced, highly skilled and qualified Quantity Surveyor to join their team . You will be managing costs for responsive repairs, cyclical decorations and lifecycle repairs contracts servicing more than 9,000 social housing units. This is fast paced and challenging role; you will be balancing the requirements of residents, the Client and your new company to ensure the best outcome for all parties. You will be responsible for making sure all billing is in line with requirements, working with key subcontract partners, ensuring that works undertaken are accurately quoted, processed and paid in line with supplier agreements. Repairs span the full spectrum of trades and include electrical repairs, carpentry, plumbing, iron mongery and much more. Maximising the value to the Client and your new company, ensuring the smooth running and ongoing cost effectiveness of contracts. You will be friendly, motivated, reliable and a hardworking individual, with a proven track record of working on similar projects within a similar industry sector. You will have extensive knowledge, experience and/or qualifications in building maintenance this includes reactive/responsive repairs, cyclical decorations and/or lifecycle repairs. You must also have a full UK driving licence as there will be some travel involved . Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience  Good technical understanding of construction and the surveying process backed by a recognised technical qualification  Good knowledge of Construction contracts including JCT, NEC and PFI Contracts  Demonstrable knowledge of Schedules of Rates  Aware of current commercial and technical legislation  Good numerical, negotiation and influencing skills  Use of Microsoft Excel and other financial packages  Good organiser who operates within strict deadlines  Able to communicate with all internal and external members of the Project Team  Maintain relationships with internal and external contacts  Able to act on own initiative  Support, mentor and guide subordinates If you wish to register with Citi Recruit or wish to enquire about this role and or alternative opportunities within Kent and South East London, please do not hesitate to contact Emma Neal on (Apply online only)
