The Company: Our client is an established and successful Building Services Contractor with over 20 plus years' experience operating within the M&E Building Services sector. Based in Twickenham, the business works on projects across London and surrounding counties. With a turnover of circa £35 Million, the company has extensive experience working on new build and refurbishment projects for successful regional and national main contractors, plus end users. Typical M&E projects are new build and fit out of high-End commercial, Residential and Education buildings between £0.5Million and £15Million in value. The role: As M&E Quantity Surveyor, duties include; You will ideally have a bias towards Mechanical aspects of Building Services although Electrical will be considered You will have overall responsibility for the successful financial delivery of projects from award to completion circa £2M+ You will be able to oversee multiple projects at one time between the office eith some site visits where requried The role of M&E Quantity Surveyor is to plan, implement and deliver projects according to programme, budget and quality Preparing tender packages for M&E subcontract works Continually monitor projected costs to completion in line with budget, reporting to the Commercial Manager Better Buying of all materials and plant Subcontractor Account Management Preparation of all Applications Compiling of all Variations The Quantity Surveyor is expected to maintain the company's standard of work in all duties and should provide input in construction project commercial/legal/strategic meetings The person: The successful candidate will likely; Have experience working as an M&E Quantity Surveyor Experience working for Mechanical Contractor Significant exposure to working on projects of at least £2Million in M&E value. be able to work autonomously and manage the financial aspects of projects from start to finish. You will be commutable to a West London office base and/or Project sites. The successful candidate will be able to negotiate a salary between £50,000 - £60,000 + car + benefits or a day rate for Freelance - both will be considered and are negotiable.
