Senior Quantity Surveyor - Residential Development

I am working with a leading national house builder who are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Southern commercial team. Established for over 40 years, the company has grown until now where they currently directly employ over 2000 staff and had a turnover of over c£1bn last year. They take great pride in producing high specification homes and have won major industry awards for a number of years running. Based in their well-appointed office in Hampshire, they are looking for someone to take lead commercial responsibility of a new flagship project in North Berkshire. The project is currently at foundation stage and will consist of over 250 units of Reinforced Concrete frame apartments. The right candidate will be a passionate commercial professional who is methodical, organised and highly motivated. You will also have strong cost management skills and be a good communicator, as you will be liasing with a dedicated Commercial Director who has been with the company for over 20 years. While candidates qualified by experience will be considered, it would be highly advantageous to hold a chartership or have a formal qualification in Surveying. Also, while a track record in a residential construction background is preferred, those from other sectors will also be considered. In return, you can expect a salary of up to £60,000 per annum with a generous car/travel allowance, 24 days holiday, a contributory pension and excellent bonus potential.
