Senior Quantity Surveyor Main Contractor- Design & Build - £1m-£20m - Senior Quantity Surveyor A privately owned main contractor based out of two offices in Chertsey and London are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This organisation has developed a desirable reputation for delivering value and quality on every project they undertake. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be working across a variety of sectors including listed buildings, leisure, commercial and residential with these projects valuing from £1m-£20m. They specialise in high quality fit-out, refurbishment and new build developments all across the London and the South. Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor Duties: You will be in charge of a £20m office scheme based in Woking, Surrey where the demolition has already been completed so the build process will be under way shortly. The successful Senior QS will be responsible for managing just one assistant on the project. * Ensure cash flow is maximised * Ensure that business targets and KPI's are exceeded * Preparation of monthly cost value reports for area, together with review of results * Production of commercial reports, reviewing results and considering trends * Physical measurement of works and agreement of same with client and subcontractors * Agreement of certification and payment of subcontractor accounts * Implementation and compliance with the contract change control procedure and monitoring thereof including notices to client as appropriate * Managing sub-contractors * Sending out enquiries, collating prices, comparing with tender and negotiation Location: Woking Projects: Design & Build Sectors: Commercial Values: £20m Salary: £60,000-£70,000 + Benefits The Person: The Senior Quantity Surveyor will have gained substantial experience in managing and surveying in the UK construction industry and will be able to deliver on this.
