Electrical Project Manager

Client: With a portfolio of projects in the UK the client is recognised as a market leading building services contractor. They are renowned for large fit out and new build projects in commercial office, data centre and public sectors. Clients include major law and financial companies, as well as large blue chip main contractors. After a successful year they are now looking to increase turnover to over £100M, consequently they are looking to recruit mechanical and electrical project managers. Role: Mechanical/Electrical Project Manager – Salary £65,000 + Car Allowance + Travel Expenses + Pension + Healthcare + Bonus (up to 20%) The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a £2-5M project within their own discipline. The project will be a fast track commercial fit out. You will be expected to take the project from pre-construction through to handover working alongside a project surveyor. Role/Responsibilities: • Tender review/validation • Design Management (reviewing design) • Procurement (sub-contractors, kit and plant) • Programming of work • Health & Safety (RAMS) • Commercial Responsibility (working alongside Quantity Surveyor) • Team Coordination • Management of commissioning stages • Liaising with client team, main contractor and sub-contractors • Progress meetings with sub-contractors and client The ideal candidate: • Will be familiar working in a fast pace environment • Experience working in the commercial sector • Experience managing projects to a minimum of £2M within your own discipline • A minimum 5 years’ experience in a management role • Ideally the candidate will have subcontracted to main contractors such as ISg, Overbury, Como, Mace, Wates, McLaren etc. In return they offer: • A healthy pipeline of work • The opportunity to move up the management ladder • A very competitive basic salary and an excellent bonus scheme
