Senior Estimator – Working on projects up to £500 million Civils / Infrastructure / Highways / Rail / Power Location: London Salary: £64,000 – £84,000 + benefit package About the client: Day in, day out, the client’s teams deliver amazing projects in challenging conditions; developing, managing and maintaining the vital infrastructure and public spaces that modern economies, societies and communities rely on. About the Senior Estimator Role: The successful Senior Estimator will be responsible for the following • Full tender process administration • Provision of BQ for specification and drawing projects • Tender Risk & Opportunities – Practical, Commercial & Contractual • Understanding of various forms of Procurement Process • Accurate Cost Plans production • Value engineering • Oversee and/or interrogate design options and ‘value’ solutions, and if appropriate, identify the attractiveness of a project based on sound estimating principles. • Producing Contractors Proposals and Submission Documentation • Attendance at Mid Bid & Post Tender Interviews • Coordinating Design Consultants • Investigation of various forms of construction and liaising with Specialist Sub-Contractors Requirements for the Senior Estimator: Essential requirements of the successful Senior Estimator • Experience of working as a Senior Estimator within a main contractor or consultancy • Excellent communication skills • Experience on projects ranging from £25million to £500 million • Excellent management and client relationship skills • Excellent numerical and report writing skills • Ability to drive business forward.
