Health and Safety Adviser

Our client is an industry known, well respected civil engineering contractor offering a broad range of engineering and structures services. Through continued expansion they require an additional HSE Adviser to join their team. As the HSE Advisor for the Scottish region, you will be responsible for, but not exclusively; - all site inductions, - TBT`s, - reviewing risk assessments/method statements, - attending H & S meetings , - making regular H & S site inspections, - managing accident reports and investigations as well as producing monthly reports relating to incidents/ accidents on site as required, - advising management on all aspects of H & S legislation. On a daily basis you will converse with the operatives at their workplace to ensure compliance with risk assessments and method statements on each site. You will work closely with Project Teams to address key elements of their H+S standards and make sure all standards are in line with the Principal Contractor's expectations. You will ideally be degree qualified in Health and Safety and have a NEBOSH and IOSH certificate. MOST IMPORTANTLY you will have a Health and Safety career in a civil engineering and/or construction environment.
