Project Engineer

One of our partners is actively recruiting a full time Project Engineer on projects throughout Scotland. Responsibilities of the Project Engineer. * Take responsibility for all setting out, compliance of engineering matters on site, including temporary and permanent works and overall construction safety and feasibility studies * Provision of reports and progress information to senior project management * Take responsibility for site engineering impact on project budgets * Work with the Management team to develop and maintain an the project programme * Provide suitable commercial support to QS and commercial team * Take a proactive role in the development of best practice as required * To provide support and development of trainee and graduate level staff. Key Working Relationships Subject to the nature of the project * Supervising Responsibility for: Project and Assistant Engineers * Internal - Project management team, commercial and design teams, site personnel and supply chain * External - Clients, Consultants, sub-contractors and key stakeholders Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications Required * BEng or Bsc or HND or HNC in Civil Engineering * SMSTS Qualification * CSCS Card * Experience of Site Engineering on commercial, private sector building projects with values greater than £5m * Experience of working on projects with complex reinforced concrete structures * Technical expertise in latest construction techniques * Self-motivated, strong management and negotiation skills * Track record of project delivery * Relevant industry health and safety management qualifications * Experience of Design and Build and traditional contract forms You will be well versed in all levelling equipment such as 1 man Robotics and 2 man Leica and Trimble Total Stations. You will enjoy embracing innovative new construction methods relating to RC framing and groundworks. You should be forward thinking in planning and scoping your daily and weekly work and have an approachable manner and enjoy being part of a team on site.
