We are looking for an experienced 'Onsite Joinery Supervisor' to take responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and performance of our subcontract carpenters/joiners across multiple projects throughout the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring installations are delivered safely, on programme, to the required quality standards and within agreed commercial controls. Key responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate subcontract carpenters /joiners across live construction projects. Plan and allocate daily work areas to Maxine labour productivity. Set and communicate daily and weekly installation targets. Monitor progress against programme and agreed project deadlines. identify potential delays early and implement corrective actions where possible. Monitor individual and team productivity and address poor performance. Ensure joiners are working form the latest approved drawings and specifications. Inspect installation quality throughout the works, not simply at completion. establish and maintain required workmanship and installation standards. Identify defective workmanship and ensure remedial works are completed promptly. Carry out site surveys and inspections. Physically verify subcontract joiners completed works before approving them for payments. Check quantities and areas claimed by subcontractors against actual completed works. Ensure incomplete, defective or unverified works are not approved for payment. Maintain accurate records of completed works, progress, inspections and photographs. Coordinate labour requirements with the Project Managers to meet programme. Check site readiness before deploying installation teams. Identify and record delays, disruption and additional delays. Ensure variations or additional works are reported and authorised before proceeding wherever possible. Provide regular progress, labour, quality and programme updates to the Project Managers. The Candidate:- We are looking for a hands-on supervisor with a strong carpentry/joinery background who understands how to manage subcontract labour, drive productivity and maintain high installation standards. You must be confident challenging poor workmanship or productivity and comfortable verifying completed works before payments are approved. Experience within IPS Systems, cubicles, washroom, specialist joinery, fit-out or interiors would be particularly advantageous. UK wide travel is an essential part of the this postion and overnight stays will be required on some projects. (Fully expensed by the business) SSSTS/SMSTS. First Aid (Desirable) CSCS Card. NVQ Level 2/3 Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent. Asbestos Awareness (Desirable) A full UK driving licence is essential. We are looking for an experienced and commercially aware Project Manager to take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple construction projects from handover through design, manufacture, installation and final completion. Working within a specialist subcontracting environment, you will coordinate our internal Design, Commercial, Manufacturing and Installation teams. ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and accordance with the agreed contractual scope. This is a hands-on role requiring strong organisation, communication and commercial awareness. You will be the key link between our business, main contractors, site teams, designers and supply chain. Key Responsibilities. Take ownership of projects following internal handover from Sales/Estimating. Review subcontract documentation, scope, drawings, specifications and programme requirements. Identify project risks, exclusions, design responsibilities and potential scope gaps at an early stage. Develop and maintain project programmes, key dates and deliverables. Coordinate design information, approvals, technical submissions and drawing releases schedules. Ensure information is released in sufficient time to meet procurement, manufacturing and installation requirements. Laise closely with the factory/manufacturing team regarding production requirements and priorities. Coordinate site surveys, dimensions and information required for manufacture. Plan and manage installation activities across multiple live construction sites. Attend pre-start, progress, design & coordination meetings with main contractors and clients. Monitor project progress against programme and take corrective action where required. (Being Proactive and 'NOT' reactive!) Ensure variations, delays, disruptions and additional works are identified and communicated promptly to the commercial team. Maintain appropriate records to protect the company's contractual and commercial position(s). Manage subcontract installers and ensure labour resources meet programme requirements. Ensure RAMS, permits, site requirements and Health & Safety documentation are in place before works commence. Work with the commercial team to monitor project costs, variations, applications and final accounts. Manage snagging, defects, completion and handover. Provide regular project reporting covering programme, commercial position, design status, manufacturing, installation, risks and actions. Build strong working relationships with clients and main contractors while protecting the interests of the business. About You:- You will ideally have experience as a Project Manager within construction, specialist subcontracting, fit-out, interiors, joinery, washrooms, IPS, cubicles or a similar environment. You should be:- Commercially aware and confident working within subcontractor arrangements. Experienced in managing projects from design through manufacture and site installations. Able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications. Comfortable challenging unrealistic programmes or requirements. Experienced in dealing with main contractors, site managers and design teams. Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Highly organised with storing communication skills. Proactive in identifying risks before they become project issues. Comfortable working in fast paced/ high pressured SME environments where individuals are expected to take ownership. Competent with Microsoft Office and construction management systems. Desirable:- SMSTS CSCS (Black Managers Card.) Construction related qualification. Experience of IPS, washroom systems, cubicles, Fit-Out, joinery or specialist interiors. Experience coordinating factory/manufacturing requirements with site programmes. Understanding of subcontract notices, variations, extensions of time and change management.
