We currently have an exciting opportunity for experienced Shift Production Operators to join our skilled team at our Workington Mill. Your future challenge We are now looking for Shift Production Operators to join our Production teams at Workington Mill. Our Production Operators play a vital role in ensuring the mill operates safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. We provide comprehensive training across a wide range of production activities, giving you the opportunity to develop new skills and build a long-term career within Holmen. This is a full-time shift-based role working a rotating 12-hour day and night shift pattern. The rota spans a 34-day cycle and includes 20 built-in rest days and holidays, offering an excellent work-life balance. Reporting to the Site Shift Manager, your responsibilities will include: Your main areas of responsibility Working safely and following all company Health, Safety and Environmental policies Operating machinery and equipment efficiently to maximise production performance and quality Carrying out production activities to ensure customer requirements are consistently met Working collaboratively within a team-focused production environment Supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence across the mill To succeed in the role We are looking for motivated individuals with a positive attitude and a strong team ethic. You enjoy working in a fast-paced industrial environment and take pride in delivering high standards of work. You will ideally have: GCSE Grade 4 or above in English, Maths and Science/ICT, or an equivalent/higher qualification As an alternative candidates with significant relevant production experience may be considered. Good communication and organisational skills Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities An interest in production processes and manufacturing operations Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning Previous manufacturing or process industry experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
