The work will involve concrete reinstatement works across various locations throughout the UK, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. We are looking for an experienced and reliable Groundworker to join our clients construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of groundwork and civil engineering tasks to a high standard, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications. Key Responsibilities Carry out all aspects of block paving, including ground preparation, laying, cutting, and finishing. Complete concrete works, including foundations, slabs, footings, and other structural concrete installations. Construct, erect, and dismantle formwork (shuttering) for concrete works. Safely operate abrasive wheel equipment for cutting concrete, paving, kerbs, and other construction materials. Install ducting for utilities, including drainage, electrical, water, and telecommunications services. Lay paving, kerbs, edging, and associated hard landscaping works. Excavate and prepare sites for foundations and utility installations. Read and interpret construction drawings and site plans. Use of hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively. Work collaboratively with site managers, supervisors, and other trades to ensure projects are completed on time. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment. Comply with all company policies, site rules, and current health and safety legislation. Report any hazards, defects, or incidents promptly to site management. Person Specification Essential Previous experience as a Groundworker within the construction industry. Proven experience in block paving, paving, concrete works, formwork, ducting, and the safe use of abrasive wheels. Good understanding of construction methods and health and safety requirements. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable, punctual, and committed to producing high-quality work. Valid CSCS Card.
