Pay: £25,000 £35,000 per year Job Description: Due to continued company growth, a job opportunity has arisen for a Buyer to join one of South Wales s leading Civil Engineering Companies, who specialise in the construction of Wind Farm s, Sub Stations, and Solar Farm s on a permanent basis. This role will play an important part in helping the organisation enhance its procurement and logistics capabilities and management of suppliers. Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To Contacting and connecting local and nationwide suppliers within the construction industry, obtaining quotations and lead times Placing of purchase orders Identifying potential new suppliers and products Ensuring compliance with company IMS system General management and admin of purchasing documentation Essential Skills Experience in buying within the construction/ civil engineering industry Excellent IT skills Microsoft Excel/ Word etc Ability to work to tight deadlines Effective communication and team working skills Knowledge of construction industry Knowledge of infrastructure and energy works i.e; Sub Stations, Wind Farms, Solar Farms Job Details Full time, permanent Working hours Monday to Friday 08.00am to 17.00pm Based in Newport, South Wales office Casual dress On site free parking Salary negotiable depending on experience Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Benefits: Casual dress Free parking On-site parking Work from home Ability to commute/relocate: Newport: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
