Quantity Surveyor (Piping & Welding) Location: Point of Ayr, Talacre, North Wales Contract Type: Outside IR35 Contract Rate: Competitive Day Rate (Negotiable) Duration: 12+ Months (until mid 2028 end of project) Working Pattern: 5.5 Days Per Week Ceto Talent is representing a leading international EPC contractor delivering a carbon capture energy infrastructure project in North Wales. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Quantity Surveyor with strong piping and welding experience to support the management of construction quantities, progress measurement, reporting and subcontractor quantity control throughout the construction phase of this large-scale project. The Role As Mechanical Quantity Surveyor, you will support the implementation and operation of Management and Construction Information Systems used for the management of construction quantities, planning, progress recording, quality assessment, accounting of construction works and the collection of erected and installed quantities. The role will also involve supporting the implementation and coordination of Spooling, Welding and Material Traceability Systems across the project. Key Responsibilities Update project Bills of Quantities through quantity record booklets in accordance with project procedures. Maintain and update project management databases with actual construction data. Supply and verify quantitative data required for extra works, dayworks, New Prices (NPs) and Change Work Orders (CWOs). Support the Discipline Superintendent and project management team in the definition and assessment of NPs and CWOs. Verify data consistency against company procedures, project agreements, preambles, price lists and subcontract requirements. Assist in the preparation of quantity management reports and construction cost estimates to complete. Monitor and verify daily manhours and equipment utilisation by subcontractors and direct hire personnel. Support the Construction Manager and Discipline Superintendent in the technical and administrative assessment of subcontractor and client claims. Coordinate with construction, quality, materials and project controls teams to ensure accurate quantity reporting and progress measurement. Support the management and coordination of welding, spooling and material traceability systems. For candidates with suitable experience and seniority, there may also be responsibility for coordinating a team of Quantity Surveyors across multiple disciplines and ensuring project objectives are achieved. Candidate Requirements Experience Minimum 10 years' experience operating as a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor. Strong piping construction experience. Experience within major industrial, energy, oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation or infrastructure projects. Proven experience supporting construction quantity management throughout project execution. Technical Knowledge Piping classes and material families. Weld mapping and welding traceability. Material traceability systems. Construction progress measurement and quantity reporting. Quantity management processes within large construction projects. Software & Systems Microsoft Office 365. Advanced Excel skills. Experience using construction quantity management, progress measurement or management information systems would be advantageous. Demolition Supervisor - Carbon Capture/Oil & Gas Construction Project Location: North Wales (Fully Site-Based) Start: May 2026 Duration: 12 Months Hours: Up to 5.5 Days Per Week Rate: £(Apply online only) per day (negotiable) IR35: Outside IR35 Ceto Talent is partnering with a global offshore and onshore Energy EPC contractor delivering a major carbon capture project and a unique UK-first energy infrastructure development. We are looking for an experienced Demolition Supervisor to support a major demolition and decommissioning project being delivered as part of a Carbon Capture Construction Project on an existing Oil & Gas facility. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in industrial demolition, construction demolition, demolition management, demolition supervision, demolition planning and large-scale demolition projects within the energy, infrastructure, oil & gas or heavy industrial sectors. The Role You will oversee all on-site demolition activities, ensuring demolition works are carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved methods, demolition RAMS, project procedures and UK regulations. Working on a large-scale industrial demolition and decommissioning project, you will supervise demolition subcontractors, coordinate demolition operations, monitor demolition progress and maintain high HSE standards throughout all phases of the demolition programme. Key Responsibilities Supervise all on-site demolition activities and demolition works. Ensure compliance with demolition RAMS, permits and safe systems of work. Monitor demolition contractors and subcontractors carrying out demolition operations. Enforce HSE standards across all demolition and decommissioning activities. Conduct site inspections, audits and toolbox talks relating to demolition works. Coordinate demolition activities in line with project schedules and programme requirements. Ensure safe demolition procedures are followed at all times. Support planning and execution of demolition phases across the project. Maintain strong safety performance throughout all demolition operations. Report on demolition progress, safety observations and site performance. Assist with the management of demolition risks and mitigation measures. Requirements Proven experience as a Demolition Supervisor on UK demolition projects. Strong background in demolition, industrial demolition, decommissioning or heavy construction. Experience supervising demolition contractors and demolition subcontractors. Strong knowledge of demolition RAMS, HSE regulations and demolition safety procedures. Experience managing demolition activities within industrial or energy environments. Ability to coordinate demolition works and site operations effectively. Relevant certifications such as CSCS, SMSTS or SSSTS are desirable. Additional Information Must be based in the UK. Based at the Point of Ayr Terminal Facility in North Wales, you will play a key role in the implementation and management of the project's Construction Information Systems, supporting construction progress measurement, quality management, quantity tracking, reporting and project delivery activities.
