About the role We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Technician to join our team in South Lanarkshire on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is essential to the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of a school environment, carrying out day-to-day maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs. You ll work both independently and as part of a wider team, ensuring facilities are maintained to a high standard and all health & safety requirements are met. Key responsibilities Opening and closing the school in line with required occupancy times Carrying out internal and external building inspections and reporting faults (e.g. leaks, damaged tiles) to the Help Desk Completing non-specialist repairs as required Ensuring planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks are completed within agreed timescales Managing visitor sign-in/sign-out procedures and key control Ensuring site inductions are completed for all contractors and visitors Reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements for works being carried out Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies Supporting the safe and compliant operation of the school at all times This list is not exhaustive, and the role may include other reasonable duties within the scope and grading of the post.
