Quantity Surveyor Birmingham Major projects Tier 1 clients Clear progression The Opportunity A well-established global specialist contractor operating across access and industrial services is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join its Birmingham team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a sizeable, well-supported business with a strong reputation, a healthy pipeline of work and genuine room to progress. Working across major schemes with Tier 1 clients, you will be part of a commercial team that plays a key role in the successful delivery of projects across the region. The business offers the backing, structure and opportunities you would expect from a major name, but with the day-to-day visibility and scope for progression that can be harder to find in larger commercial teams. The Role Based out of the Birmingham office, you will be involved in the commercial management of multiple live projects, working closely with the Branch Manager and senior commercial leadership. This role will suit somebody who enjoys variety, is comfortable managing several live schemes at once and wants to play a meaningful part in the commercial running of projects from a specialist contractor perspective. You will be given the opportunity to take ownership of your workload, build strong relationships internally and externally, and develop within a business that has a proven track record of promoting from within. Key Responsibilities Preparation and submission of applications for payment Management and agreement of variations Contract administration and general commercial support across live projects Commercial oversight of multiple schemes simultaneously Working closely with operational teams and client-side commercial teams Supporting the wider commercial performance of the branch About You Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a subcontractor or main contractor environment Able to manage multiple projects or workstreams concurrently Good understanding of applications, variations and general commercial processes Commercially aware and confident in dealing with clients and internal teams Looking for a role that offers both responsibility and progression Benefits & Package £50,000 £60,000 Car allowance Pension Flexible working Clear career progression within a global business Apply If you are looking for a role with a respected business, strong project exposure and genuine long-term opportunity, please get in touch for a confidential discussion.
