About the Role Founded in 2016, providing electrical contractor services for both domestic and commercial applications, Jaberu Recruitment s client is a leading electrical and renewables contractor. Due to Our Clients continued growth plans, they currently seek a Commercial Manager (with an electrical bias) to work on projects throughout the UK. Projects range from small domestic works to large scale electrical installations for both public and private sector clients. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual who combines technical electrical expertise with commercial acumen to lead the financial and contractual performance of major projects. Working closely with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and senior leadership, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered profitably while maintaining the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Manage the commercial aspects of electrical projects from tender through to final account. Review, negotiate, and administer contracts and subcontract agreements. Prepare and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports. Identify commercial risks and implement effective mitigation strategies. Lead procurement activities and manage subcontractor accounts. Oversee valuations, applications for payment, variations, and final accounts. Support estimating and pre-construction teams during tender submissions. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures. Mentor and support commercial team members where appropriate. About You The successful candidate will have: Proven experience in a Commercial Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor, or similar commercial role. Strong knowledge of electrical installations and M&E projects. Excellent understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts. Experience managing commercial performance across multiple projects. Strong negotiation, financial, and analytical skills. Ability to build lasting client relationships and influence stakeholders. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Full UK driving licence. Desirable Qualifications Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. Membership of RICS, CIOB, or equivalent (preferred but not essential). Experience within commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, or data centre sectors. Electrician Duration: 4-6 weeks (possibility of extension) Location: Invergarry Hourly Rate: JIB Rates/ £27.50 Umbrella MUST HAVE SAFETY CRITICAL MEDICAL MUST BE FULLY AUTHORISED TO WORK IN THE UK Jaberu Recruitment are working with a leading contractor to source Electricians for a key workers accommodation project in Invergarry. It will be for minimum 4-6 weeks, with possibility for extension. The work being carried out is installion works for a large site setup with sleeper units and modular buildings. The work will involve installing SWA cables, glanding and terminating into MDU DB s at source and commando sockets at the end Start Date - 27th July Rotation: 11-days on: 3-off (10-hours Monday to Friday, 8-hours per day weekends) Working hours: 37.5 hours standard (7.5 hours per day) Once 37.5 hours are completed the daily overtime past 7.5 hours is paid at time x1.5 Saturdays are paid the first 6 hours at x.1.5, double time thereafter. Sundays are paid at double time. Qualifications Proven experience as an Electrician or similar role with a solid understanding of electrical systems Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to electrical work Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail Relevant qualifications or certifications in electrical installation or maintenance (e.g., City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3) are highly desirable Valid UK driving licence is preferred due to remote site location Candidates will ideally come from an Industrial or Commercial background and be comfortable working mostly outdoors.
