Location: Blackburn, Lancashire Salary: £65,000 + Package Job Type: Permanent Mechanical Estimator Building Services MEP Technical Talent are working in partnership with a well-established Mechanical & Electrical contractor based in Accrington to recruit an experienced Mechanical Estimator. Our client has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical engineering solutions across a wide range of sectors, including industrial, commercial, education, manufacturing, critical infrastructure and specialist engineering projects. They provide full design, installation and commissioning services, delivering projects from concept through to completion. Due to continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their pre-construction team with the appointment of an experienced Mechanical Estimator. The Role Working closely with the Pre-Construction and Operations teams, you'll be responsible for producing accurate and competitive mechanical estimates for a variety of building services projects. Responsibilities Preparing detailed mechanical estimates from drawings and specifications. Reviewing tender documentation and identifying project requirements. Producing accurate take-offs and cost plans. Obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations. Preparing competitive tender submissions. Identifying value engineering opportunities. Liaising with clients, consultants and internal delivery teams throughout the tender process. Supporting handovers to the delivery teams following successful tenders. Requirements We're keen to speak with candidates who have: Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the Building Services / M&E sector. Strong knowledge of commercial mechanical installations including HVAC, heating, ventilation, pipework and public health services. Experience pricing projects across commercial and industrial environments. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail. Electrician Commercial Office Project Braehead, Glasgow £27 per hour Up to 50 hours per week 3 months work Immediate start MEP Technical Talent is looking for experienced electricians to work on a commercial office block in Braehead, Glasgow. You ll need commercial installation experience, a valid ECS Gold Card, your own tools and PPE. The role offers £27 per hour , with up to 50 hours available per week . Work is expected to last three months , and you must be available to start immediately.

Electrician Hotel Project Inverness £27 per hour 45 hours per week 6 months work Starting in approximately 3 weeks MEP Technical Talent is looking for experienced electricians for a hotel project in Inverness. The work will cover all stages of the electrical installation, including first fix, second fix and final fix. You ll need experience working on commercial installations, a valid ECS Gold Card, 18th Edition qualification, and your own tools and PPE. The project is expected to run for six months , with 45 hours available each week at £27 per hour .

M&E Works Supervisor Location: Central London Rate: 350 per day Hours: 3 days per week Site Based We are recruiting an experienced M&E Works Supervisor to support the delivery of Mechanical and Electrical projects across a large, technically complex estate in Central London. This is a client-side position overseeing M&E works delivered by external contractors. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior M&E Project Engineer, Project Managers, consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure installations are completed safely, on programme and in accordance with approved designs, specifications and relevant British Standards. The project portfolio includes Mechanical and Electrical installations, infrastructure improvements, lighting upgrades and sustainability projects, with individual project values ranging from approximately 50,000 to 5 million. The Role Support the Senior M&E Project Engineer and wider project team across multiple concurrent projects. Review M&E designs, specifications, technical drawings, layouts and schematics, answering technical queries where required. Take ownership of allocated works during the installation phase, monitoring contractors and ensuring the required standards of quality, safety and compliance are achieved. Undertake regular progress and quality inspections, producing clear reports covering progress, defects, technical concerns and corrective actions. Review contractor Risk Assessments and Method Statements and support site safety audits, incident reporting and appropriate follow-up actions. Coordinate communication between contractors, Project Managers, consultants and internal stakeholders. Monitor the correct use of RFIs, technical submittals and other project communication procedures. Attend progress meetings and present technical findings to the project team. Oversee testing, commissioning and witnessing activities, ensuring processes and outcomes are properly recorded. Compile and manage snagging and defect schedules, monitor remedial works and support the successful handover of completed projects. Help identify practical engineering solutions while ensuring projects cause minimal disruption within a busy live environment. About You We are interested in experienced Mechanical, Electrical or M&E Supervisors who are comfortable overseeing contractors from a client-side perspective. The successful candidate should have: Strong experience supervising Mechanical and/or Electrical installations, with good working knowledge of both building-services disciplines. The ability to interpret technical drawings, layouts, schematics and specifications. Experience inspecting installation quality and identifying defective or non-compliant works. Experience of testing, commissioning, witnessing, snagging and project handover. A recognised Mechanical or Electrical qualification, apprenticeship, HNC or equivalent industry experience. Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, CDM Regulations 2015 and relevant health and safety legislation. Strong fault-finding, reporting, communication and stakeholder-management skills. The confidence to challenge contractors constructively and work independently across several live projects. Qualifications including SSSTS, SMSTS, IOSH, ECS, CSCS, IPAF, PASMA or asbestos awareness would be advantageous. Experience with lighting-control systems, DALI integration, AutoCAD or complex operational buildings would also be beneficial. The Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced M&E Supervisor seeking a client-side position with responsibility for monitoring quality, compliance and technical delivery across a varied portfolio of projects. The role is site based in Central London for three days per week and offers a rate of 350 per day, outside IR35.
