          Job description     Kara Healthcare  is currently seeking a Maintenance Operative who is passionate about creating the very best environments for our residents and staff.  You will deliver a consistently high service and environment across all of our homes, and won't be afraid of rolling your sleeves up when needed.  You will be based in the East Midlands and will need to be flexible to travel between our 2 residential services Olive Row; Kettering and Park House; Wellingborough to meet the needs of the business.    Position:  Maintenance Operative    Job Type:  Fulltime    Location:  Kettering & Wellingborough   This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team. Responsibilities    . Ensure that all routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and systems are completed in a timely and thorough manner    Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, supporting team members where required    Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with safety regulations   . Knowledge and experience in like for like electrical and plumbing repairs    Analyse response times to maintenance requests, identifying service failures and room for improvement   . Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and completed work orders    Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or installations    Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment needed for maintenance tasks across the group    Requirements:     Proven experience in maintenance or a related field    Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude    Excellent customer service skills to interact with staff and address their concerns    Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively    Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals    Basic welding skills for minor repairs or fabrication work    Familiarity with logic controllers and electrical systems    Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written   . Full UK driving licence, own vehicle and ability to travel nationwide as required.
