Grounds Person - Independent School, Suffolk Stoke by Clare, Suffolk Full Time, Permanent (40 hours per week, full year) Salary: 22,941 per annum Start: Immediate A small independent College in Suffolk, is seeking a Grounds Person to join its Estates team. This is a hands-on role supporting the maintenance of the school's grounds, gardens and sports facilities. Key Responsibilities Maintain lawns, pitches, hedges, paths and landscaped areas Prepare and mark out sports pitches and facilities Operate groundskeeping equipment (mowers, strimmers, hedge trimmers) Support site maintenance and school events Assist with seasonal duties including gritting and leaf clearance Work collaboratively within the Estates team Requirements Previous experience in grounds maintenance, gardening or landscaping Practical, reliable and flexible approach Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to safeguarding and health & safety Desirable Grounds maintenance or horticultural qualification PA1 spraying qualification or chainsaw licence Experience in a school or public environment Benefits Free school lunch and refreshments Free parking Pension scheme and staff benefits platform All appointments are subject to enhanced DBS checks.
