Traffic Management Officer RJS Contractors are based in Farnborough Hampshire, we specialize in all aspects of groundworks, civils, drainage, building maintenance and Traffic Management. We are looking for an experienced traffic Management Officer to join our busy team and build the TM division alongside the Groundworks. To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who has a full, clean UK driving license. The right candidate will be confident in the role and working alone, must be able to work on their own and as part of the team, be able to manage their time efficiently and complete jobs within specified time frames. Full Traffic Management Officer job description Drafting and processing of all Permits, TMO s, TTRO s, Notices and all matters relating to planning, highway, parking, car park notices and traffic regulations. Drafting and processing all emergency and temporary traffic orders, including estimating, and recording all associated costs. Liaising with the finance team to issue invoices and ensuring payments are received from clients. Set up and maintain progress report files on all notices and orders the require processing and which are being processed. Answer any queries and complaints. Oversee new enquiries. Pricing all TM requirements. Meeting clients, council, highways when the requirement is needed. Oversee live TM projects. Using Joblogic and any other systems to facilitate the role. Liaising internally regarding project start dates. Finding new business through emails/calls/site meets. Stock checks/new suppliers. Equipment/vehicle checks. Site RAMS Managing operatives from onboarding/checks and ensuring compliant with PPE. Over see the smooth running of all aspects of traffic management on a day-to-day basis. Following up with quotes sent. Working with the groundworks division to assist estimators in applying for permits, TM plans and overseeing TM. Ensure prices are competitive and correctly quoted. Providing regular updates and briefings with the MD to provide TM progression. Initially/ Occasional site set up and being the operative to keep overheads down. Job Role As a result of accelerated growth, we are looking for a skilled and experienced Groundworker to join our growing company. A full, clean UK driving license is essential, as postholder will be required to use the company vehicles. Main Duties Help with managing the day to day live and up and coming projects. Overseeing the projects and ordering of materials, waste, equipment to ensure projects run on time and without delay. Meeting with clients/council. Viewing new projects. Working closely with MD and QS. Dealing with finished projects and snagging. CSCS and CPCS an advantage. Groundworker We are a thriving groundwork and drainage company based in Cove, Hampshire. We are looking for experienced groundworkers to join our busy team. All applicants must have the following: A full clean UK driving licence A valid CSCS card UTR number Relevant experience with and tickets for excavators, dumpers and other equipment Experience to fulfil the duties required Employment references A way to get themselves to and from work Have basic tools for the works involved NRSWA accreditation would be preferable On site duties include but are not limited to: All external works Laying paving slabs/block paving Kerb laying (Streetworks required) Laying of ducting/trenching Drainage (foul/storm) Foundations, concrete slabs, RC works and Block & Beam floor Road forming Experience with all plant - excavators, dumpers etc Laying Tarmac To be successful for this role you will ideally: Be approachable, enthusiastic and hard working Have excellent attention to detail Demonstrate commitment to exceeding deadlines Working hours are Monday - Friday with the occasional weekend as and when needed. Quantity Surveyor The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in groundworks, civil and general building and is willing to progress to a Senior Surveyor level within a supportive working environment over time. The full time employed role will involve, but not limited to: Managing the day-to-day surveying, estimating, take off etc Tendering for our smaller projects with a value range of 3k to 250k Support the team in any post tender negotiations Procurement of project materials Reconciliation of pricing with our team during projects Work as part of the existing team to support their daily activities Meeting clients and discussing their needs, following up with pricing and quotations Compiling and submitting payment applications and/or invoices for projects in a timely manner Creating and maintaining internal rates database Sub-contractor sourcing prices, agreement orders, liabilities Assisting the MD in bid analysis and contract negotiations Cost planning & budgeting forecasting for monthly reporting. Experience level required: Minimum of 5 years experience in groundworks and building maintenance is a must. Willing to build and progress to a Senior Surveyor within the business Excellent communication skills Confident dealing with customers Good knowledge of estimating software Good understanding of building contracts Working hours 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday Friday Please note, you must be based locally to Cove, Hampshire.
