Responsibilities As a Section Engineer, you will take ownership of a specific section of the project to support site management and deliver technical excellence. Key responsibilities include: Managing and supervising engineering works within your designated section of the project. Ensuring all works are executed safely and align with approved method statements, risk assessments, and company policies. Overseeing setting out and surveying activities to ensure work accuracy and quality, adhering to project specifications. Interpreting and implementing design drawings, technical documentation, and specifications. Coordinating with Site Agents, Project Managers, and client representatives to maintain clear communication and efficient project execution. Leading and briefing site engineers and subcontractors to meet project milestones and quality requirements. Inspecting and testing completed works, maintaining thorough and accurate records to support project QA (Quality Assurance) processes. Preparing and reviewing RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements), ITPs (Inspection Test Plans), and as-built documentation. Identifying and resolving technical or construction challenges promptly and effectively. Maintaining detailed site records, including progress reports and material tracking. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you should bring a combination of technical expertise, communication skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. Qualifications include: A degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline. Proven experience working on civil engineering projects such as highways, infrastructure, utilities, groundworks, drainage, or structures. Strong skills in setting out, surveying, and quality assurance. A thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. CSCS card is required; SMSTS/SSSTS and First Aid certifications are desirable.

Civils- Senior Project Manager An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a major civil engineering scheme on the South Coast .The project involves demolition, RCworks highways, service diversions general remediation works The Role You will manage the project from late pre-construction into delivery You will take responsibility for day-to-day project delivery, coordinating site teams, subcontractors and design inputs to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget. Key Responsibilities Day-to-day management of site and project teams Supporting design development and construction planning Work closely with the Contracts Manager to confirm that suitable labour, plant and subcontractor resources are in place, using approved agencies and suppliers. Manage site setup, facilities and logistics efficiently, ensuring all plant and equipment is appropriate for the works and operated only by trained and competent personnel. Arrange and coordinate material orders, managing deliveries to align with the construction programme and procurement timelines. Coordinate with the design team to support the timely issue of drawings and technical information, working through the Design Manager where applicable, particularly on design-and-build schemes. Lead and coordinate site teams and subcontractors, driving productivity and performance in line with the overall programme. Monitor and enforce standards of workmanship, materials and compliance with specifications, statutory regulations, health and safety and quality requirements. Ensure site teams and subcontractors adhere to agreed operational procedures and site standards. Maintain regular communication with the Contracts Manager on cost management, resource efficiency and waste control. Requirements Experience as a Project Manager or Senior Site Manager in civil engineering Demonstrable experience leading Design & Build projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams Strong stakeholder engagement capability, with experience managing client and supply chain relationships Formal qualification in construction or engineering, or equivalent industry experience Recognised project management qualification (e.g. APM, PMP or similar) Sound commercial acumen with proven experience working under NEC forms of contract Ability to proactively identify, manage and exploit risk and opportunity Proven capability to manage projects through the full lifecycle from inception to completion Track record of delivering projects to agreed budgets, programmes and cost targets

Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented Planner. As a Planner, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining schedules for engineering, procurement, and construction projects. Working closely with various teams and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of activities and adherence to project timelines. Responsibilities Collecting all necessary information to create schedules following Works Order rules Linking tasks across engineering, procurement, and construction teams for each project and full programme Estimating task durations and identifying the critical path Develop tender & construction programmes based on allocate budget and resources Collaborating with the procurement team and suppliers to confirm delivery dates for materials and equipment Negotiating timelines for work with site managers and subcontractors Updating detailed schedules with new information from engineering, procurement, and site teams Planning weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly project activities Creating and sending schedules Assessing risks and creating contingency plans for the programme Producing progress reports and visual representations of project forecasts Drawing up a construction program Defining methods and establish outputs with the wider team including supply chain Preparing a resourced program, outcome confidence and expectations Contributing and establishing a programme risk analysis throughout build Preparation of visual materials in support of planning methods preparing and maintaining the contractual programme to meet reporting requirements, both internal and external Work with site to understand progress, milestones and activity Report programmes to NEC form of contract Qualifications HNC/HND or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field Ability to interpret drawings, specifications etc Substantial experience of a wide range of civil engineering, to Sub Agent level before converting to Planner Experience working with site-based teams and communicating across multiple disciplines Able to manage and prioritise workloads across multiple projects if required Strong IT and reporting skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Day-to-day Open to applications from current planners and experienced engineers who maybe looking to try something new in their career.
