Orbital Recruitment are currently recruiting for 4-8 Ground Workers for long-term roles on a major project in CV36. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Ground Workers with strong deep drainage experience to secure consistent work on a high-profile infrastructure scheme. STARTS AVAILABLE : Tuesday 26/05/2025 & 01/06/2026 Hours Monday to Friday 07 30 (9 hrs paid) Long-term work available (7-8 months) OVERTIME ENHANCED RATE AT WEEKENDS TBC Pay: £21.00 - £23.00 The Role The successful Ground Workers will be responsible for carrying out deep drainage and pipeline installation works as part of the ground works team. Ground Workers will be expected to work to a high standard, ensuring all installations meet specification, safety, and quality requirements. Key responsibilities include: Installing drainage and pipework systems to line, level, and gradient Working within deep excavations and trenches Assisting with backfilling, compaction, and associated ground works Working closely with the Lift Supervisor and other trades Ensuring all works are completed in line with drawings and site specifications Maintaining high standards of health & safety and site housekeeping Essential Requirements Proven experience working as Ground Workers on civils or infrastructure projects Strong background in deep drainage and pipe laying projects Experience installing large-diameter drainage systems Ability to read and work from drawings and levels Experience working safely in deep excavation Must be able to pass medical if required, and site induction Right to work in the UK Reliable, hard-working Ground Workers who can work well as part of a team PLEASE DON'T APPLY IF YOU DON'T HAVE ALL RELEVANT TICKETS AND CARDS Interested? We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Retrofit Operative to join a growing construction and energy-efficiency team working across Walsall and the wider West Midlands area. The role involves carrying out retrofit and refurbishment works on residential and social housing properties to improve energy efficiency and modernise homes. You will work alongside site supervisors, tradespeople, and tenants to deliver high-quality upgrades safely and professionally.
