We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support our project construction team by leading and advising on all commercial matters. You will work closely with the Commercial Manager, Project Manager, and Finance & Procurement teams, ensuring all projects are delivered profitably, contractually compliant, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all commercial aspects of assigned projects. Negotiate and prepare contractual variations with clients and subcontractors. Measure and value works completed on-site, ensuring accuracy and transparency. Prepare and agree monthly payment applications with clients. Assist in tender preparation, cost planning, and bid support. Track design changes and ensure all variations are captured and agreed. Assess subcontractor applications and monitor their performance. Review and report progress against the works programme. Maintain budgetary control and prepare cost-to-completion forecasts. Issue and manage Early Warning Notices (EWNs) in line with contract requirements. Support Project Managers with contractual and commercial advice. Liaise with the Legal team to prepare and review sub-contracts. What We're Looking For Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field. 10+ years' experience in a similar role within Utilities, Civil Engineering, Oil & Gas, or M&E industries. Strong commercial acumen and numerical analysis skills. Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills. Sound understanding of standard forms of contract (e.g. NEC, JCT, FIDIC). Flexibility to travel to project sites as required.

They specialise in Contestable Works up to 132kV, with capability to deliver projects on National Grid infrastructure up to 400kV. They are currently working on a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project and are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Construction Supervisor to oversee and coordinate on-site delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business playing a key role in the UK's energy transition. The Role As an Electrical Site Construction Supervisor, you'll be responsible for supervising electrical installation works (LV/HV) on-site, ensuring all activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You'll work closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure delivery is right first time. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate LV/HV electrical installation works. Oversee installation of switchgear, transformers, earthing, ducting, protection systems, and wiring. Interpret and deliver works to electrical drawings and DNO specifications (e.g., G81). Manage and inspect above and below-ground installations. Support electrical testing, commissioning, and quality checks. Review RAMS and subcontractor documentation, ensuring compliance with scope of works. Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager. Ensure compliance with NRSWA Section 50, NJUG guidelines, CDM regulations, HSG47, and health & safety standards. What We're Looking For 5+ years' experience in LV/HV electrical installations (HV essential). Strong background with switchgear, transformers, substations, and generators. Knowledge of DNO standards, G81 specifications, and industry best practices. Experience supervising subcontractors on technical electrical site works. Strong understanding of health & safety legislation (CDM, HSG47, etc.). Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with works up to 132kV (preferred). Familiarity with DNO authorisations and SAP processes (desirable).
