About the Role To provide Quantity Surveying support across a range of projects delivered from our Humber office, ensuring robust cost management, contract administration, and commercial governance. As a Quantity Surveyor, you would be responsible for supporting the Commercial and Project Management teams in delivering effective Contract Management and maintaining relationships with Clients, Contractors/Subcontractors, Suppliers or Service Providers for the relevant contracts. This would include the administration of the contract Risk Register, attending Risk Reduction and other meetings, managing the Early Warning Notice and Compensation Event processes and contract administration through various applications (CEMAR / FastDraft / Digital Beehive). All contracts will be managed in accordance with Amentum Management System and procedures for contract management. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance to procedures and Contract Terms and Conditions to secure delivery with certainty. Key Responsibilities: A high emphasis on change management Support cost estimation, budgeting, and forecasting activities across a variety of utilities / infrastructure projects. Administer contracts (typically NEC3/4 with a number of bespoke client contracts) including change control, payment applications, and final accounts. Support procurement and tendering processes with accurate cost data and commercial input. Monitor and report on project financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities. Engage with project teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure commercial alignment. Contribute to continuous improvement and lessons learned in cost and contract management. Here's What You'll Need Degree level qualification in relevant discipline or equivalent experience in commercial /contract management Some previous Quantity Surveying or Commercial Contract Management work experience. Working knowledge of Construction Contracts, ideally with some exposure to the NEC suite of contracts. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Ability to communicate confidently and work well under pressure Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Must be proficient in MS Office applications - especially MS Excel. Desirable Skills & Experience Experience in utilities / infrastructure sector. Knowledge of sustainability and social value in commercial delivery. About the Role Amentum is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our Water Division, supporting the successful delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the UK. The successful candidate will have proven estimating experience within the UK water sector, developing accurate and commercially robust cost estimates for projects from early-stage opportunities through to tender submission and contract award. Essential - must have previous water industry experience. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed estimates for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Review tender documentation, drawings, specifications and client requirements. Develop first-principles estimates, cost models and pricing schedules. About the Opportunity The Cost Manager will join the Project Management Office (PMO), reporting to the Cost Lead, and play a key role in delivering accurate and timely cost performance information across the programme. Working within an integrated project controls team, you will support effective cost management, forecasting and earned value analysis to ensure robust performance reporting against the project baseline. You will be responsible for analysing programme cost data, supporting budget and forecast updates, tracking actual costs, and ensuring accurate reporting of EAC, ETC and cost performance metrics.
