Construction contractor specialising in civil engineering, such as enabling works, requires a Health and Safety Advisor on a contract basis for six months, with the possibility of further extension. The primary purpose of the role is to assist site teams and the HSEQ Manager in ensuring working practices are safe and carried out in compliance with legislation. Duties: Conduct site inspections and produce reports Assist with the implementation of SHEQ improvements Help with the development and maintenance of health and safety training Encourage the support of company initiatives to promote an outstanding health and safety culture Deliver toolbox talks Perform accident investigations and write follow-up reports Take part in HSEQ and site safety meetings Requirements: Experience as a Health and Safety Advisor / SHEQ Advisor / HSEQ Advisor / HSQE Advisor / QHSE Advisor in the construction, civil engineering, utilities, telecoms or rail sectors NEBOSH Construction IOSH First Aid Fire Marshal First Aid Excellent communication and IT skills This role is based full-time in the office, with site visits. We are looking for someone who is comfortable & experienced with 1st fix carpentry. Initially this is a short term contract, with further work being on offer for right candidate. We are looking for someone who has experience working on major construction sites and has a valid CSCS. You will be required to assist other tradesmen / load out yards / take deliveries / move & stack materials. You will be required to jump out of the machine during quiet periods & help out with logistics on site (ordering materials / keeping site in order). This is a midweek job only (Monday - Friday). We are paying 10 hr per shift. We are looking for someone holding either CPCS or NPOS's, (PTS is an advantage). Job starts ASAP - ideally Wednesday 24th Sept for induction. Rate: 22 an hour / CIS. Civils construction contractor requires a Supply Chain Administrator, on a permanent basis, to work from their Essex office. The main purpose of the role is to support the company's health and safety / SHEQ and procurement teams Responsibilities: Make sure supply chain compliance documents are in date Complete credit account applications Help with supply chain onboarding Upload relevant records and documentation on to Netsuite Update purchase orders when required Help with invoicing queries Collect health and safety statistics and log inspections carried out Log DSE assessments Assist with utility searches Carry out Velocity insurance claim updates Schedule diaries for the SHEQ team Arrange fire protection inspections Take minutes of meetings To be considered, previous experience in a similar administration role is required, ideally within the construction or engineering sectors. Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and attention to detail is also important, with a strong track record in accurate data input and management. Time management skills are also important to be successful in this Administrator role, along with a high level of IT proficiency (Microsoft Office, Adobe etc).
