Set / Scenic Carpenter We are currently seeking experienced Set Carpenters for upcoming work with a well-established set building company based in Chelmsford, Essex. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the construction of high-quality sets for a variety of projects, including film, TV, sporting events, and brand events. Key Responsibilities: Construct scenic elements from timber, sheet materials, and modular components Read and interpret technical drawings and construction plans Work to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of finish Safely operate power and hand tools Collaborate with other trades and departments on-site Requirements Proven experience in set construction or similar carpentry-based environments Strong understanding of scenic carpentry techniques Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail Local to the Chelmsford (Essex) area or able to reliably commute

The Role Due to continued growth and investment in new machinery, our client is looking to recruit a CNC Operator to join their workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with CNC machining experience who enjoys working on varied, bespoke projects rather than high-volume production. You'll be responsible for operating CNC machinery to produce precision-cut components used in the manufacture of custom-built sets, displays and installations, working closely with designers, carpenters and the wider production team. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machinery safely and efficiently Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files and cutting programmes Produce accurate timber, MDF, plywood and sheet material components Carry out quality checks to ensure work meets required specifications Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in good working order Load materials safely and monitor machining processes Work closely with the design and workshop teams to ensure projects are delivered on time Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment Assist with workshop duties when required during busy production periods About You Previous experience operating CNC machinery Experience working with timber, MDF or sheet materials is desirable Ability to read technical drawings Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude Able to work both independently and as part of a team Understanding of workshop health and safety procedures Experience with CNC programming software would be advantageous but is not essential What's on Offer Salary of 25,000 - 30,000 per annum Monday to Friday working hours Opportunity to work on exciting, high-profile creative projects Modern workshop with recently invested CNC machinery Ongoing training and development Supportive and collaborative team environment Long-term career progression within a growing business

They are looking for an Assistant Site Manager to join a live residential development in Ramsgate on a temp to perm basis. Working alongside an experienced Senior Site Manager, you will support the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring homes are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard of quality. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to prove themselves in a contract role with the view of securing a permanent position. Key Responsibilities: Support the Senior Site Manager with the day-to-day management of the site Supervise subcontractors and trades, ensuring work is completed safely and to programme Monitor build quality and ensure homes meet NHBC standards Assist with maintaining the construction programme and driving progress on site Ensure compliance with all health & safety legislation and company procedures Coordinate site logistics, materials, and deliveries Maintain accurate site records and reports Carry out plot inspections and prepare homes for customer handover Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure the smooth running of the development Requirements: Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager or Site Supervisor on residential housing developments Strong understanding of traditional build construction Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certificates Excellent communication and organisational skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced site environment Proactive attitude with a strong focus on quality, health & safety, and programme delivery This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected national housebuilder on a live development in Ramsgate, with the potential to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.
