Freelance Site Manager North Kent CR3 are currently working with a well-established prime residential contractor specialising in high-quality private residential developments, refurbishments and new-build projects across Kent and the surrounding areas. With a growing pipeline of work in the region, they are looking to bring an experienced Freelance Site Manager on board for two live projects. About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee two residential projects across North Kent. This is a dual-site position , with the two projects located on opposite sides of North Kent, so a willingness to travel between sites is essential . Both projects are a combination of refurbishment and new-build works, with each project having a value of approximately £1.2 million. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of both sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities Managing the day-to-day running of two residential construction sites Coordinating subcontractors, trades and site operatives Ensuring works are completed to programme and within agreed timescales Maintaining high standards of health & safety across both sites Managing site logistics, materials and deliveries Liaising with the project team, subcontractors and other key stakeholders Monitoring workmanship and ensuring all works meet the required quality standards Reading and working from drawings, specifications and construction programmes Identifying and resolving any issues that arise on site Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress to the wider project team Ensuring both refurbishment and new-build works are delivered efficiently Requirements Previous experience working as a Site Manager within prime residential construction Strong experience managing refurbishment and new-build projects Previous experience managing projects in the region of £1m+ Strong subcontractor and site management skills Good understanding of health & safety requirements SMSTS CSCS First Aid Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle Comfortable travelling between two sites across North Kent Package £270 £300 per day Freelance Dual-site role across North Kent Two projects, each approximately £1.2m Combination of refurbishment and new-build works Further projects coming up across Kent Opportunity for ongoing work for the right person

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the construction of high-quality sets for a variety of projects, including film, TV, sporting events, and brand events. Key Responsibilities: Construct scenic elements from timber, sheet materials, and modular components Read and interpret technical drawings and construction plans Work to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of finish Safely operate power and hand tools Collaborate with other trades and departments on-site Requirements: Proven experience in set construction or similar carpentry-based environments Strong understanding of scenic carpentry techniques Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail Full UK driving licence required due to the remote location of the site Own transport or reliable means of getting to the site Benefits: Opportunity to work with a respected and established set builder A creative, hands-on working environment Possibility of ongoing work on future projects Competitive rate of 23 per hour
