Job Title: Project Manager - Utilities Expansion Location: Aylesbury Manufacturing plant Contract Rate - circa 500 - paid inside IR35 About the Role: Our client, a leading manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a utilities expansion program at their manufacturing site. The projects are currently at the feasibility and design stage, focusing primarily on refrigeration and wastewater systems. The ideal Project Manager will have the capability to manage the projects through the full life cycle, from design and planning to commissioning and closeout, while ensuring compliance with relevant health, safety, and CDM regulations. Key Responsibilities: Project Manage the full project lifecycle from feasibility and design through to commissioning and handover. Oversee the refrigeration and wastewater expansion projects, ensuring technical, budgetary, and timeline objectives are met. Ensure compliance with CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations, coordinating with designers, contractors, and stakeholders to manage health and safety risks. Liaise with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery. Develop and maintain project plans, risk registers, and status reports. Track project costs and ensure efficient allocation of resources. Required Experience & Skills: Proven experience as a Project Manager, managing utilities/engineering projects in a manufacturing, or industrial environment. Ideally some experience with refrigeration systems and wastewater utilities projects. Knowledge and experience with CDM regulations and their application in design and construction phases. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage projects through the full lifecycle. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities. Desirable Qualifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification. Looking for an experienced Building Management Systems (BMS) Manager to oversee the operation, performance, and development of the Building Management Systems. You'll play a key role in ensuring efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective building operations. Key Responsibilities: Ensure the efficient and sustainable operation of the BMS/BEMS. Identify faults, optimise system performance, and manage the onsite BMS contractors. Produce regular reports on energy usage, system performance, and continuous improvement. Act as the BMS/BEMS subject matter expert and support Asset Management planning. Lead BMS-related projects, standards, commissioning, and operational handovers. Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environment regulations and internal policies. Experience Required: Proven experience managing BMS/BEMS on large, complex sites. Working knowledge of systems such as Schneider, Trend, or Cylon. Relevant qualifications in BMS, electrical engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across diverse teams. Experience with asset information models, maintenance planning, and continuous improvement.
