The successful candidate would have extensive experience working with a high volume developer, and have constructed both traditional and timber frame dwellings, be able to motivate and lead site teams whilst working under tight deadlines, be able maintain high levels of build quality. Experience: You will require a minimum of 3 years experience working as a Site Manager within the new build residential sector, evolving from an assistance site manager and having gained the relevant certifications being SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid and any other industry related certifications. In return you will receive a competitive annual remuneration package which includes car/allowance, 20%Bonus, Pension and company incentives.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience gained from working as an Assistant Site Manager within the new build housing sector, building both traditional built houses and timber frame, you will require experience of taking build from first fix through to handover ensuring high levels of quality and customer service is adhered to, you will need to have an attention to detail and require the ability to lead and motivate site teams and subcontractors whilst maintaining relationships. The successful candidate must possess relevant qualifications for the role being a full valid SMSTS, companying CSCS card and First Aid with any other industry relevant qualifications being advantageous, a knowledge of NHBC and LABC regulations are also essential. You will lead the engineering design phase for complex systems across major tech hubs in Watford and Slough. Our client prefers a permanent hire but will happily secure top talent on a temp-to-perm basis. Key Responsibilities Design Leadership: Oversee the creation of fully compliant, end-to-end fire suppression (gas/water mist) and detection system designs. Technical Compliance: Ensure all drawings strictly adhere to British Standards (BS 5839, BS EN 12845), LPC rules, and NFPA guidelines. BIM Coordination: Manage the integration of fire system designs into 3D BIM models, resolving clashes with other MEP services. Client & Site Liaison: Translate complex technical client requirements into actionable engineering blueprints for site installation teams. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and review the output of an internal team of CAD/BIM design engineers. What You ll Need Fire Sector Expertise: Deep technical mastery of fire suppression (gas, water mist, sprinklers) and detection (VESDA, addressable systems) design. Data Centre Exposure: Proven experience designing systems for critical, high-density environments where business continuity is paramount. Software Proficiency: Mastery of AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM coordination tools. Qualifications: Relevant engineering degree, LPCB competency certification, or equivalent industry design credentials. Location: Based in or easily commutable to the South East, with flexibility to visit offices and sites in Slough and Watford. SLH Consult are partnering our client a national passive fire contractor who are looking to appoint a freelance fire door carpenter within Birmingham. The project will consist of installing new fire doors within a commercial setting along with inprovement frame inprovment works, you will require previous experience of installing/replacing fire doors within commercial buildings including installation of accompanying hinges etc you will require and need an eye for details with exceptional workmanship and finish, and be able to work within a team environment reporting into the site manager. You will require a relevant CSCS blue card, acompanied with relevant experience workijng on fire doors both install and remidials, you must also possess an Advance DBS due the the location of works. This will be an immediate start for Monday/Tuesday and will require your own tools enabling you to carry out the work, materials will be provided, this contract would be ideal for a contractor in between projects with the potential for ongoing works throughout the west Midlands.
