An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Design Manager to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor on the delivery of a major mixed-use development in King s Cross. The scheme includes several substantial commercial buildings being delivered to shell-and-core standard , alongside a residential plot that will require full internal fit-out, completion and handover by the main contractor. With approximately 8 12 months remaining , this is a delivery-focused role suited to a Senior Design Manager who can quickly take control of outstanding design matters, resolve technical issues and drive the project through to successful completion. The position can be offered on either a permanent/PAYE or freelance contract basis , depending on experience and availability. Key Responsibilities Lead design coordination through construction, completion and handover. Manage outstanding RFIs, approvals, technical queries and design changes. Coordinate architectural, structural, façade, MEP and fit-out packages. Drive consultants and subcontractors to meet programme deadlines. Resolve technical interfaces and ensure designs are compliant and buildable. Support shell-and-core completion across the commercial plots. Lead design close-out, fit-out and handover of the residential plot. Manage as-built information, certification and O&M documentation. Experience Required Senior Design Manager experience with a Tier 1 or established main contractor. Strong delivery-stage experience on large, complex projects. Experience of commercial shell-and-core construction. Experience of residential fit-out, completion and handover. Strong knowledge of architectural, structural, façade and MEP coordination. Good understanding of Building Regulations, CDM and design-and-build contracts. Confident managing consultants, subcontractors and technical stakeholders. Able to resolve issues quickly and work effectively in a live construction environment. An established specialist contractor is looking for a Buyer to manage procurement across a portfolio of roofing and cladding projects. Working closely with Project Managers, design teams, site teams and suppliers, you will take ownership of material purchasing from initial enquiry through to final delivery. This is a fast-paced role where strong buying decisions will have a direct impact on project cost, quality and programme. The Role You will be responsible for: Procuring materials, products, plant and equipment across multiple projects Obtaining, analysing and comparing supplier quotations Negotiating prices, lead times and commercial terms Managing both long-lead orders and urgent site requirements Tracking orders and resolving late or failed deliveries Identifying supply-chain risks and proposing alternatives Building strong relationships with manufacturers and suppliers Monitoring price movements and maintaining accurate purchasing records Resolving purchase-order, delivery and invoice discrepancies Reading drawings, specifications and material schedules Completing material take-offs where required Supporting project teams with procurement planning and product options About You You will be commercially aware, organised and confident managing your own workload across several live projects.
