CONTRACTS MANAGER SOUTHAMPTON My client is a successful and ambitious contractor, with a very healthy forward order book and they specialise in delivering multi-discipline engineering projects within the water and energy sectors. Their Energy team is now growing, and they are recruiting for a Contracts Manager to work with their team to oversee a portfolio of critical infrastructure projects throughout the UK, predominantly delivering large civil engineering projects within a substation environment. The Contracts Manager will initially oversee a large 40m project in Oxfordshire. The role is based at their Head Office in Southampton but spending some time each week on site. A typical week would likely comprise of 2 days in the office, 2 days on site and 1 day at home. We're hiring a Health & Safety Coordinator to join a major civil engineering contractor, working on the exciting Havant Thicket Reservoir project. This is a great opportunity to start your career in health and safety within an experienced team to support your development and bring you up to speed. You'll be supporting the Health & Safety team with the day-to-day coordination and admin that keeps safety systems running smoothly. You won't be on your own, there is full training and everything you need to succeed. Site Manager Dorset Civil Engineering (Water) We are currently supporting a specialist civil engineering contractor to find a Site Manager to work on a live water treatment scheme. This is a clean water site and would suit a manager with proven experience of working on RC structures. Packages of work include large RC slab bases, RC tanks (Circa 20m in length and 6m high) and 1000m of ductile iron pipework. About you Previous experience of self-delivering RC works Ability to drive production, safety and quality on site Competent with daily site paperwork to include RAMs, Construction phase plans, Health & safety files, ordering materials, programme input SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid and a relevant construction related qualification or proof of experience. Site Supervisor Witney, Oxfordshire Highways A foreword thinking, civil engineering and highways contractor are recruiting a Site Supervisor to assist them with a live highways project for the local authority. This role offers an immediate start and work on this Scheme for the next 3-4 months. After this they have a strong chance of further works in Oxfordshire as well as the opportunity to progress with other business units on National Highways and private sector projects. The project works have included road construction and improvement works for a new slip road on and off the existing junction to ease traffic congestion. This role will suit a supervisor who will be happy working under the guidance and direction of a Works Manager to oversee sub-contractors. Duties will include: Supervision of sub contractors work for safety and quality Keeping records and monitoring progress Production of permits to work Ensuring the project meets deadlines by managing the programme Completing environmental and health and safety site inspections You will be required to hold a current SSSTS and CSCS card, ideally first aid and previous experience working on highways projects.
