Quantity Surveyor The Role The Quantity Surveyor will provide commercial support to project teams, maintaining commercial information and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and the Company s objectives. They will liaise with customer representatives and other third parties on commercial issues, including agreement of variations, claims and any additional payments. Key Responsibilities Reporting Ensure robust, accurate and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit levels Ensure accurate cash flow reporting takes place Carry out cost management, including forecasting Update the monthly CVR, cost and commercial plans Processes Help ensure that internal commercial processes are adhered to across the business unit Actively seek to improve processes and procedures Hold a good understanding of the processes and procedures used by any client that we are working with About you Essential Previous experience in the construction industry HND/degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying Familiarity with ICE/NEC forms of contract and knowledge and understanding of Construction Law Ability to demonstrate a good knowledge of monthly reporting and earned value analysis. Have knowledge and experience in estimation and cost analysis. Excellent communication, numeric and computer literacy skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines Ability to work effectively in a team and delegate, but also able to work on own initiative Desirable Member of RICS or other relevant professional body, or working towards CSCS card If interested, please apply and one of our consultants will come back to you.

Key Responsibilities Undertake estimates in accordance with company procedures Identify opportunities and risks during the tender process Maintain tender estimate file Prepare estimating handover packs Monitor quality control and implement corrective actions where necessary. Manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Update managers on supplier performance where required Source, negotiate and purchase goods at the best cost for the business Maintain Supplier relationships Understand and develop bills of materials Take offs - measuring and quantifying the materials and labour required for a project based on designs and blue prints. Requirements Civil engineering or infrastructure background Engineering or commercial background Proven track record of working on tenders Computer literate Desirable Experience with sludge treatment facilities. Responsibilities Supervise daily civil construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications Manage and lead teams of workers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback Travelling between sites in the Hampshire/ Southern water region Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, implementing best practices across all civil operations Experience and Requirements Proven management experience within civil engineering projects Demonstrable supervising experience on large-scale civil works projects Water industry experience Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members, clients, and suppliers Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to civil construction sites Hold EUSR/ SSSTS/ CPCS as a minimum Additional tickets and qualifications preferable Additional Information Must be available for the end of Jan for the full duration of the contract Role will be covering the Southern Water/ Hampshire/ South London area. Hotel will be provided if required when necessary.
