Job Vacancy: Concrete Tester Location: Friston, IP17 Pay Rate: 14.50 per hour Job Type: Full-time / Temporary We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Concrete Tester to join our team on a site in Friston, IP17. Key Responsibilities Carry out concrete testing on-site in accordance with required procedures. Take concrete samples and perform slump tests. Assist with sampling and testing fresh concrete deliveries. Record test results accurately and maintain clear records. Follow all site health and safety procedures. Work closely with site staff and the wider team. Requirements Previous experience in concrete testing or a similar role is preferred. Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions. A reliable, punctual and proactive attitude. Good understanding of health and safety on construction sites. Relevant training or certification is an advantage. Role: Project Manager Location: Substation, near Carlisle, Cumbria (CA6) Duration: Approx. 6 months Start: December 2026 / early January 2027 Engagement: PAYE via Umbrella (no CIS) Rate: 350- 400 per day (Umbrella), dependent on experience The Project This is a major National Grid substation upgrade, including new 400kV and 132kV indoor substations. We are looking for a hands-on Project Manager to oversee the internal fit-out of the new substation buildings through to completion and handover. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day delivery of internal fit-out works in an industrial building environment Drive a strong safety culture on site, including review of RAMS and enforcement of site rules Coordinate and manage multiple sub-contractors, sequencing trades and resolving interface issues Oversee firestopping installation, inspection and sign-off Interpret drawings and specifications, raising queries and resolving issues on site Monitor quality, programme and progress, with regular reporting to the client team Maintain accurate site records and digital reporting Essential Requirements Proven experience managing internal fit-out of industrial or commercial buildings Trades background with a practical, hands-on understanding of fit-out works Firestopping experience, including understanding of certification and inspection requirements Strong commitment to health, safety and quality Able to read and interpret construction drawings Reasonably proficient with IT (email, Microsoft Office, site reporting systems) SMSTS and CSCS Manager card (Black/Gold)

Customer service and Admin experience (not necessarily previous RLO experience). Full driving licence. Temp to perm opportunity for the right Candidate To start at the end of October PAYE rate plus can claim mileage or fares

Eye for detail with an emphasis on quality & client sign off's. Sub-contractor management, programme control and input to the PM. Coordination of trades in an industrial/ commercial construction arena circa £20mill. Report issues to the Fit out PM. Support the fit out PM as a presence on site. Some office work required, depends on ability. Extensive experience in managing fit out sub contractors and coordinating with M&P trades & Manager. Senior Quantity Surveyor Civil Engineering Location: Bristol Rate: £300 £500 per day Contract: Contract / Freelance Sector: Civil Engineering CIS/Non CIS - Non CIS About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a civil engineering project in Bristol . This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor with strong civil engineering experience to take responsibility for the commercial management of projects, working closely with the project delivery and commercial teams. Key Responsibilities Take responsibility for the commercial management of civil engineering projects. Manage project costs, budgets, forecasts and cash flow. Prepare and manage applications for payment, valuations and final accounts. Manage subcontractor accounts, payments and variations. Review and assess changes, variations and compensation events. Monitor project performance and identify commercial risks and opportunities. Prepare accurate monthly cost/value reports and forecasts. Assist with procurement and subcontractor negotiations. Manage contractual and commercial correspondence. Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, clients and subcontractors. Provide commercial advice to the project team. Ensure contractual obligations and commercial procedures are followed. Support the successful delivery of projects within budget and programme. About You The successful candidate will have: Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering. Strong commercial and contractual knowledge. Experience managing civil engineering projects and subcontract packages. Experience with valuations, variations, final accounts and cost reporting. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness. The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. A relevant Quantity Surveying or construction-related qualification is desirable. Experience with NEC contracts would be advantageous. What's on Offer £300 £500 per day , depending on experience.
