Business Development Manager - Must have FM/Building Services Experience Location London Salary up to £75,000 As a Business Development Manager you will be direct responsibility for targeting new occupier clients & prospects, building solid relationships and offering the entire range of FM products and services. The focus of the Team is to target UK clients that the business does not currently have established relationships with and to convert them into revenue generating clients. The team focusses on a defined list of target occupiers, working closely with many market-leading teams and subject matter experts (SME's) to win new revenue generating business. Target clients for this role will specifically come from within existing relationships held by our Facilities Management businesses. There will also be a focus on working with new opportunities and a list of target clients. Key Responsibilities - To win new business. This will be achieved by identifying, building and managing an active pipeline of opportunities, covering everything from one-off business to full-service accounts. - This is a pure sales role, the successful candidate will not be required to execute the new business. This will be undertaken by the SME's; however, the candidate will be required to build and maintain a deep understanding of all service lines within the company and build deep internal relationships across the business. - The candidate will effectively manage multiple, simultaneous client opportunities through fostering solid relationships with clients direct, and multiple stakeholders throughout the business - Once the work is won, the candidate will ensure a seamless transition of client responsibility to an Account Director as appropriate. The candidate will also need to: - Define and articulate a compelling value proposition and to influence clients at the highest levels. - Have oversight of the production of exceptional pitches, tender documents and presentations, in line with company standards. - Provide regular and accurate forecasting and reporting. - Achieve assigned team revenue generation, win and pitch success targets - Achieve other business development objectives defined by company management - Raise the company and business profile by representing business at industry events, high level networking and promoting an image of professionalism at all times. - Keep up-to-date with industry developments, maintaining awareness of competitor activity and market trends. - Attend monthly sale reviews to ensure they are fully updated on all sales activities and potential new business opportunities. - Ensure that appropriate sign-offs are understood and adhered to when considering new business opportunities. Project Manager Building Services Location - London Salary up to £75000 plus Bonus Plus benefits The purpose of this position is to plan, direct, and coordinate all aspects of the project lifecycle from planning stage through transition to post project support with focus on working within predetermined estimates and timelines. To control the flow of information on each project to ensure the owner, construction manager, architect, subcontractors and the company personnel understand the quality and schedule requirements of the project. Key responsibilities Project Manages the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in the implementation of Building Systems and Technology upgrades, retrofits and new installation projects. Directs internal and external team members, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure clear understanding of scope, timelines, and budget requirements. Interfaces directly with clients to define project requirements. Prepares project plans, project delivery resource requirements, work plan schedule and milestones, ensures quality control, risk identification and mitigation planning. Demonstrates capability to read, understand and apply standard to moderately complex construction documents, including but not limited to: agreements/contracts, project charters, bid specifications and construction drawings Directs, reviews or approves project design drawings/changes and review with team members and subcontractors to ensure all responsible parties have a clear understanding of proper mechanical and electrical installation requirements. Maintains project budget and prepare change orders throughout project when necessary for any additional work. Creates and maintains project schedule utilizing MS Project, Excel, or other cloud based scheduling tools. Works in conjunction with various internal Team Lead/Supervisors, while utilizing scheduling tools in scheduling internal resources and external subcontractors. Monitors and assists internal and external project team members with material procurement, drawing preparation, shipping and overall implementation strategy. Works in conjunction with Project Administrator to coordinate all paperwork and documentation required for each project including Billing, Schedules of Values, AIA documents, pay applications, change orders and subcontractor contracts. Attends job progress meetings virtually or in-person as required by the project(s) and compile meeting notes for distribution to team members as needed. Communicates frequently and effectively with owner, construction managers, architects and other project team members. Essential Experience Experience of developing new project opportunities Proven experience of running a P&L Demonstrable evidence of having managed a team Experience of creating, presenting and managing on bids, tenders and proposals. Proven project management experience in either an M&E, FM, construction or critical environment Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management or any similar type of Bachelor's degree program or minimum five years industry experience.
