We re looking for a Senior Estimator to join the team at a well recognised civil engineering company, specialising in marine and coastal infrastructure. This opportunity has arisen due to a huge order book, continued growth and project success - an ideal time to join this company! As Senior Estimator , you ll lead the estimating process for high-value civil engineering projects from concept through to bid submission. Working closely with the Head of Estimating, you ll provide hands-on commercial insight to ensure all tenders are accurate, competitive, and risk-aware. You ll work across multiple departments including engineering, planning, and commercial to develop realistic programmes, identify value engineering opportunities, and support pricing strategy at a senior level Key Duties Lead and prepare detailed cost estimates for a multitude of projects up to £20M Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to determine scope, risk, and resourcing Prepare and validate take-offs, production rates, and plant and material costs Oversee bid preparation, ensuring submissions are high-quality, accurate, and on time Contribute to continuous improvement and digital innovation within estimating What you'll need At least 7-10 years as a Senior Estimator within marine, civil, or heavy infrastructure projects Strong commercial and contractual awareness (NEC experience advantageous) Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, estimating and project planning software Full UK driving licence (essential) Interested in finding out more? Build Maintain Recruit require a Principal Electrical Engineer / Associate Electrical Engineer to join a progressive yet independent Building Services Consultancy overseeing their Southwest offering. Your role will be to support the Office Director in the management of the Team as well as winning work and building strong relationships with our clients. This is a great opportunity for you to showcase your technical skills in managing and delivering a wide range of projects while supporting the development of their engineers as well as influencing the continued expansion of the electrical team. What you ll need to succeed, Electrically qualified, ideally holding Chartered Engineer status (MIET, CIBSE etc) You will be able to demonstrate excellent technical knowledge and design experience, have excellent communication and IT skills and ideally hold Chartered Engineer status as an electrical engineer You will also have the ability to manage resources and lead Teams by managing the workload of the Electrical Team whilst helping develop their skills by sharing your knowledge and offering guidance when required A proven history of working within the built environment as an electrical engineer In return?
