Proven experience in installing, commissioning and integrating fire detection systems, including aspirating detection, beam detection and linear heat detection products. Job Title: Project Engineer - Watermist Location: Birmingham Summary of Role As a Project Engineer you will support the Project Manager within the Main Contracts or Small Works divisions to deliver Water Mist projects on time, to budget and in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements. You will gain valuable experience in working on a variety of project ranging from commercial offices, warehouses, distribution centres, retail, life sciences, pharmaceutical through to data centres and airports. The responsibilities of a Project Engineer: Contributing to project Initiation/handover meetings with all stakeholders including Sales, Design, QS. Production and maintenance of project programme. Communication with clients throughout the life of a project. Maintenance of central project file records. Attendance at internal project Cost To Complete (CTC) meetings. Hold a current & relevant SMSTS & CSCS Card Holder. Knowledge of CDM Management Principles. Holds a relevant NVQ/NHD/HNC/City & Guilds within Building Services or Mechanical discipline. Job Title: Design Engineer - Water Mist Location: Birmingham Summary of Role Working in a team within the H&K Birmingham regional office you will be instrumental in the design and program of water mist systems working on various UK wide projects. What you will be doing Develop the design of the water mist system through a process of co-ordination with client representatives and other service contracts through to a final scheme. Contribute to the design programme by monitoring same against the construction programme and specification requirements. Issue all completion documents and certification. Obtain all necessary information from all relevant parties for the preparation of fully designed working drawings including site, architects, consultants, builders and other trades. Attend site meetings independently, when necessary, where design matters are on the agenda. Preparation of complete working drawings in accordance with the appropriate design codes including establishing pipe sizes by hydraulic calculations. From design drawings, list off materials for various purposes including material procurement, estimating of variations, schedule of rates etc. Forward drawings / quantities of materials listed to suppliers / subcontractors for procurement purposes. Also, order materials and monitor and maintain levels of equipment. Other activities as instructed by the Project manager / Design Manager. Job Title: Sales Engineer - Water Mist Location: Birmingham Summary of Role You will take the lead in managing the sales and proposal process for new water mist project enquiries allocated to you. You will assess project requirements, prepare accurate cost estimates, and collaborate with internal team members to deliver comprehensive proposals. You will have a strong understanding of sprinkler/water mist systems, coupled with excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders. What you will be doing Review and respond to enquiries sent allocated to you including updating our CRM system, Review and develop technical specifications and begin developing the proposal based on customer deadlines. Review customer specifications, drawings, bills of quantities and other project documentation to produce an accurate quotation. Liaise with the design engineers, project management team and leadership to gain technical input into the quotation. Analyse level of risk associated with financial, technical elements of the project. Produce and submit quotations to customers/clients. Progress submitted quotations to obtain client feedback & prepare win/loss KPIs and lessons learnt. Professionally interact with our customers either through email, telephone or site visits to further client satisfaction & increase sales opportunities. What we will need from you Proven technical experience in sprinkler/water mist system design with a good understanding of reading construction drawings and understanding technical specifications (essential). Experience of developing technical quotations/bids (essential). Understanding of construction programs/building regulations/industry standards/legislation (essential). Creative in approach with the ability to maintain and develop positive customer relationships (essential). Strong commercial awareness with demonstrable numerical skills (essential).
