Location: Ideally you will be based in the Central Belt of Scotland. This is a great opportunity for an individual interested in entering or returning to the sprinkler industries as a Service Engineer. What you will be doing Responsible for PPM and small works projects across a few buildings Servicing all types of valve sets Carrying out 5 point flow tests on fire pumps Conducting general service checks What we will need from you Experience in servicing all types of the following valve sets: Wet, dry, alternate, deluge and pre-Action (essential) Experience of carrying out 5-point flow tests on sprinkler fire pumps and general service checks (essential) Experience of Plumbing / Piping Knowledge & fault finding on sprinkler systems (essential) Must have a full UK driving license able to cover a regional role (essential) Sprinkler Installation Level 2 qualified (desirable) Previous experience gained within Commercial / Industrial buildings environment (desirable) Experience in small works install (desirable) Experience and understanding of electronic reporting (desirable) What you can expect in return Competitive & negotiable Salary Range 25 days holiday + bank holidays Company pension scheme Company Van + fuel card Mobile phone and tablet 40 Hours per week worked from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday How to apply Please submit a tailored CV detailing your experience relevant to this role. S ummary of Role You will be responsible for the service, PPM and technical support of fire alarm systems. This is an excellent opportunity to develop and progress you career within the fire engineering sector working on the latest technology in fire alarms. You will receive full training on our range of products either via our chosen manufacturers, industry recognised training courses or via our in-house product training facility. What you will be doing Conducting servicing, PPM and technical support on fire alarm systems for our clients. Service and maintain Fire Alarm Systems Addressable and conventional You may be required, on occasion to provide cover in other areas and stay away. What we will need from you Proven & demonstrable experience in fire alarm systems maintenance gained over a number of years (essential). Familiar with and understand BS5839 standards (essential) FIA or equivalent training is highly desirable. Hold a full UK Driving Licence (essential). Provide a professional service at all times demonstrating meticulous attention to detail, quality and customer service (essential) Able to work independently, with little supervision but also able to work successfully as part of a team (essential). Demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with a range of customers/clients/internal colleagues (essential). Reliability and punctuality qualities are essential to this role. Location: Mobile covering north home counties (Herts, Bucks, Beds, Berks) Office Base : Ascot, Berkshire Summary of Role This is a great opportunity for an individual interested in entering or returning to the sprinkler industries as a Pump Engineer. What you will be doing Carry out pre-planned maintenance works to Sprinkler Fire Pumps to relevant standards. Understand fire panels, and sprinkler systems including pumps and diesel engines. Be able to assist other engineers in carrying out repairs and fault find on fire sprinkler pumps. Be able to carry out repairs to rotating equipment to a high standard. Complete job report on each inspection/breakdown. What we will need from you Full UK Driving licence Ideally you will have experience of or working knowledge of Sprinkler Fire Pumps Experience of working with diesel engines Good interpersonal skills with ability to liaise with clients Strong written and attention to detail skills to complete job reports Able to work effectively on your own and work autonomously with little supervision but know when to escalate for support NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Mechanical, Electrical, Maintenance related field (desirable but not essential) What you can expect in return 25 days holiday + bank holidays Company pension scheme Company Van + fuel card Mobile phone and tablet 40 Hours per week worked from 8am to 5pm with occasional weekend working (paid as overtime).
